JOINT FIELD TRIP OF ART APPRECIATION AND READINGS IN THE PH HISTORY

FIELD TRIP GUIDE FOR STUDENTS

Dear STUDENTS:

Greetings of peace!

We are excited to announce the upcoming Joint Field Trip of Art Appreciation and Readings in
Philippine History! This experience promises to be both educational and enjoyable as we explore
various aspects of art and history together.

As we prepare for this enriching journey, your safety and the maintenance of order are our top
priorities. To ensure a smooth and rewarding experience for everyone involved, we have outlined
some essential guidelines and safety measures that we kindly ask you to adhere.

BEFORE THE TRIP

1. Research and Understand: Before embarking on your field trip, delve into the history and
significance of the destination. Define what you aim to learn or experience during the trip.
Having clear goals will keep you focused and engaged throughout. Remember, field trips are
valuable learning experiences, so come prepared.

2. Pack Thoughtfully: Ensure you have essentials like snacks, comfortable clothing,
medication if needed, and all necessary materials (notebooks, pens, etc.). Don’t forget your
ID. Charge your electronic devices beforehand for research or documentation. Don’t forget to
bring sunscreen, an umbrella, a cap, a towel, and plenty of water, especially the weather is hot
and the sun is intense.

3. Food Preparation: Prepare your own food for the trip to avoid food poisoning or other safety
concerns. Pack enough for breakfast, lunch, and dinner to sustain yourself.

4. Prohibited Items: Leave behind sharp objects, knives, vape, cigarettes, alcohol, or liquor, as
these are strictly prohibited. Violations shall lead to serious sanctions from the College and
the disciplinary authority of the places.

5. Appropriate Attire: Wear modest and appropriate attire such as full-length pants or skirts.
Avoid shorts, miniskirts, spaghetti straps, tube tops, sleeveless tops, or crop tops. This ensures
you look presentable and professional as students.

1. Stay Engaged and Respectful: Pay close attention to your surroundings and listen actively to
guides or speakers during the trip. Engage by asking questions and participating in
discussions.

2. Follow Rules and Guidelines: Adhere to the rules set by facilitators or authorities. This
includes wearing of ID, refraining from violence, avoiding camera flashes, not staying on the
bus during the trip, and maintaining the buddy system for safety.

3. Be Responsible with Time and Behavior: Arrive on time for the trip as per the designated
call time to avoid inconveniences for the group. Be at CDM at 5AM. Otherwise, you may be
left behind and your payment shall be forfeited. Meanwhile, misbehavior on the bus can lead
to school sanctions and may limit your enjoyment of the trip. Do not be rowdy in the places
we will visit, especially at Mt. Samat.

4. Stay with the Group: Follow instructions about staying with your assigned buddy or group.
Avoid changing buses or seats to ensure smooth coordination and accurate headcounts.

5. Environmental Responsibility: Keep the environment clean by refraining from littering.

Dispose of waste properly to contribute positively to the places you visit. Refrain from
touching paintings, sculptures, and other artworks.

AFTER THE TRIP

1. Answer Reflection Log: Take time to think about what you learned and how it relates to your
course subjects. On your Blackboard, you will see some reflection questions after your field
trip. Write them down and work on them promptly while the trip is still fresh in your mind.

2. Share Experiences: Discuss the trip with friends, family, or classmates. Share what you
learned and any memorable moments.

3. Arrival Point: Remember that the arrival point is only at Colegio de Muntinlupa; no other
stops are allowed. Go straight home. Refrain from going anywhere else, as your
parents/guardians may be expecting your arrival. Have a safe trip home.
