    GRAMMAR AND USE OF

    ADJECTIVES

    PART I

    Write five sentences describing daily tasks or activities.

    Identify the use of adjectives in each sentence.

    1. When I wake up lazy in the morning, about six o’clock, first I take a shower and
    then wash my dirty teeth.
    2. I travel towards by quickly subway, get to my office and I have a breakfast with my
    workmates a hot coffee.
    3. At my job I help people solve their problems with their computers and sometimes
    answer the office phone to help with easy problems.
    4. I return late at home; I feel tired but very happy to hug my daughter and my little
    son. Usually, we go to the park, and play together with neighbour´s children. We
    eat ice cream and cookies.
    5. Once a week we go shopping and go to the supermarket also. We buy delicious
    fruits, vegetables, dairy, and some provisions.
    PART II

    Write 10 sentences using “ing” (simple present).

    1. The Valdes’s family are eating a barbecue at the beach.


    2. She is cooking dinner in the kitchen.
    3. We are watching a drama movie together tonight.
    4. The students are listening to the teacher during math class.
    5. They are playing soccer at the park right now.
    6. He is practicing the guitar in his room with a friend.
    7. They are swimming in the pool because it is a hot day.
    8. I am studying for my final exams at the university.
    9. The cat is sleeping peacefully on the couch.
    10. He is working hard to finish his project on time.
    PART III

    Write a paragraph of at least 150 words describing your environment.

    In my family we are four members, one boy baby is six months old, my daughter is three
    years old, my wife and me. We live in an apartment in Santiago, and we have a one cat.

    My job is IT Support Specialist, I am tasked with providing technical assistance to users


    within the organization and resolve operation of computer systems and networks. Each
    day brings a diverse challenge, from troubleshooting hardware and software issues to
    assisting users with network connectivity problems. My responsibilities attempt multiple
    tasks, including diagnosing and resolving technical issues promptly and efficiently,
    whether through remote support tools or on-site visits. Additionally, Collaboration is also
    key in my role, as I frequently upgrade with other IT team members to escalate complex
    issues or implement system upgrades. Overall, my role as an IT Support Specialist is
    dynamic, demanding adaptability, technical expertise, and a strong commitment to
    customer satisfaction to ensure the smooth functioning of the organization's IT
    infrastructure.
