QUESTION C
The objectives of this study is to know English as a subject and as a language, the quality of the
textbooks, opportunities of listening to good English with proper/correct pronunciation and to
high light that various exercises/activities, i.e. seminars, group discussions and debates
competitions, etc. were regularly being arranged or not.
The majority of pupils complained that not enough time was allotted in class to enhance their
speaking skills. It is reasonable to infer that English is taught as a topic rather than a language,
resulting in restricted time and the promotion of rot memory.
Another crucial aspect to mention is that the majority of the pupils were bashful since they were
afraid their classmates would laugh at them. According to the data, half of the pupils accurately
spoke. More over half of the students reported that their English professors did not speak
English most of the time.
Students and educators were held equally responsible for one of the questions posed to
students regarding weak speaking ability; the majority of them said "yes," but teachers are held
more accountable due to their professional knowledge and skills.
In short, all the objectives were answered in this case study.

QUESTION D
i. Forty students (20 each male and female) from four government colleges (2 for male and 2
for female) in Charsadda district were chosen using a stratified random sampling approach
(NWFP, PAKISTAN). The investigation was descriptive in character. After reviewing the
review literature and consulting with specialists, a questionnaire with fifteen questions was
created. Data was collected by hand, recorded in the form of counting frequencies, and
then evaluated using percentages. The data gathered from a single source, such as a
questionnaire, met the researcher's aim, and a study of relevant literature gives further
insight on increasing speaking skill aside from the questionnaire.
ii. For the stratified sampling, gender and level of education with be emphasized. Firstly,
students will be divided intro groups , since there are 40 students from 4 different
government colleges in total and they will be divided into categories as such : female
students from the first year, female students from the second year, male students from the
first year and lastly male students from the second year. These students will be given
questionnaire for them to answer respectively. After that, the questionnaire papers will be
collected and the data will be analyse to form a conclusion.
