Stress is defined as the physiological or physical and emotional


responses to a significant or unexpected change or disruption in
one’s life.

It may also refer to “what you feel when you react to pressure,
either from the outside world (school, family, friends) or from
yourself i.e. wanting to fit in, wanting to do well in school.

 When do we feel stress?


 How do you recognize stress in yourself?
 Do you think that stress is always something negative?

The word stressor refers to the things that make a person stressed.

There are two different kinds of stress – eustress and distress.

Eustress refers to a positive and healthy response of the body to a


stressor. It produces good effects on one’s well-being.

For example, a person who studied for long hours then took and
got an outstanding grade in the exam, may feel happiness and
enjoyment.

Distress refers to a negative reaction of the body towards a given


stressor. It may cause problems in health, alter mood and emotions,
and even affect the way a person thinks.

For example, when a person wakes up late for work, he or she may
feel anger and disappointment.

Stress can affect all aspects of your life. It changes our body ,
mind, feeling, and behavior. When you’re stress you might
experience body symptoms such as:

The lesson focuses on understanding stress. Stress is described as


the physiological and emotional reactions to a large or unexpected
change or interruption in one's life. There are two sorts of stress:
eustress and distress. Eustress is the body's positive and healthy
response to a stressor, also known as good stress, whereas distress
is the body's negative reaction to a given stressor, which can create
health problems and is referred to as bad or toxic stress.

ANNOTATION:

In making my lesson plan I always make sure that the lesson is aligned to Most Essential Learning
Competencies or MELC. I also make sure that the activities and task are suits to their interest so that everybody
will participate all through it. Either in online or modular activities. I do understand that everything is new
because of pandemic. But I wanted my learners felt the same “Enjoying while learning” I also made a video
lesson for my learners for them to understand easily.
