1. Scope of Method Statement

This Method Statement describes the works operation to undertake the


construction works to the South Gate road at Orapa Township No. 2 Plant
Infrastructure Refurbishment and Structural Repair at Orapa Mine

2. Scope of Works
All activities for the following items:

 Provision of labour, material, equipment tools and services for the


construction to design of bituminous surfaced double road, construction
of the associated drainage, road markings and signage, construction of
temporary bypass road and commissioning.

6. Responsibilities
NH is responsible for the implementation, enforcement and monitoring of the
work Safety, Health and Environmental Specifications.

7. Safety, Health and Environment

NH aims to achieve zero harm in all its construction activities by following set
of guidelines.

1. There should be an approved issue based risk assessment for all


activities.
2. Any equipment to be used has to be inspected by the client before use.
3. Only competent and appointed persons to operate the equipment and
equipment has to be equipped with rotating amber lamp, fire extinguisher,
first aid kit and reverse hooter.
4. Safe work procedures for all activities to be followed at all times.

5. All the employees have to have valid fitness certificates, inducted and
wear PPE.

8. Quality Assurance

All works shall be carried out to the project specifications and each portion of
work shall be approved before proceeding to the next activity.
The starting of any activity shall remain a HOLD point until the previous activity in the same
section has been inspected and approved by the client COW or other appointed client
representatives.
