Pursuant to Rule 6(d) of the Rules & Regulations for INRR 2021, the following rules shall be
binding upon all participants.
1. Point of Contact:
a) For the smooth conduct of the rounds, the Speaker 1 of every team shall be designated
as Point of Contact (PoC).
b) All communication from the Organizing Committee (OC) regarding the rounds shall
be directed to the PoC and it is mandatory for every PoC to share the said details with
their respective team members.
c) The respective Court Officers shall communicate all information regarding the oral
rounds to the PoC on the days of the event.
2. Platform Details
a) The Virtual Oral Rounds (hereinafter referred to as VR) shall take place on ‘Cisco
WebEx’. However, intermediary rooms may be created on Google meet for smoother
conduct of the rounds.
b) All participants must install the latest version of Cisco WebEx on their laptops/personal
computers. The use of mobile phones and/or tablets is prohibited for the purposes of
VR.
c) Only official CHRIST university email address shall be used for the purposes of VR.
3. Virtual Rounds
a) The participants are required to use the meeting link (or meeting ID and password)
provided by the INRR OC to join the meeting.

b) Each team shall be provided a buffer time of 5 minutes (maximum) to join the
CH. In case of any delay, the team shall be penalized in the oral score.
c) The students must strictly adhere to formal dress code. It is mandated for every
participant to wear a white shirt and attempt the round.
d) Please note, on a given day for the purposes of VR the teams submitting blue memorials
have been referred to as “Petitioners” and the teams submitting red memorials have
been referred to as “Respondent”. The reference is purely for the purposes of VR on the
days of the event.
e) The teams shall remain anonymous throughout the rounds i.e. both the days. The
participants are therefore required to join the meeting with the following name format
– “Team Code” (space) (“Side” “Role”).
For example: -
• If a team has the team code “INRR01” and is representing as a Petitioner, the
members of the team are required to follow the said format: INRR01 (PS1),
INRR01 (PS2) and INRR01 (PR) where the letter ‘P’ stands for petitioner, ‘S1’ and
‘S2’ stands for Speaker 1 and 2 respectively, and ‘R’ stands for researcher.
• If a team has the team code “INRR01” and is representing as a Respondent, the
members of the team are required to follow the said format: INRR01 (RS1),
INRR01 (RS2) and INRR01 (RR) where the letter ‘R’ stands for Respondent,
‘S1’ and ‘S2’ stands for Speaker 1 and 2 respectively, and ‘R’ stands for
researcher.
f) The above format has to be altered as the case maybe on each day.
g) It shall be the duty of every team to ensure that they are ready and available to attempt
the rounds at any given point of time owing to the virtual nature of the VR.
h) The OC shall allot the respective Virtual Court Hall (VCH) as per the fixture to the
teams. The teams are required to join the VCH as instructed by the OC without any
delay as VCH shall be automatically closed at the scheduled time of the round.
i) All the team members are required to be present for the VR. For teams that have no
researcher at the time of registration, only speakers shall attempt the rounds.
j) Team members shall not be allowed to attempt the rounds from a single device. Each
member shall use his or her individual device to attempt the rounds.

8. Technical Issues
a) Students must ensure stable internet connection throughout the moot rounds. In case of
technical difficulties, a buffer of 5 minutes (maximum) shall be provided to the student
to resolve any technical difficulties.
b) In case a speaker does not resolve his or her technical difficulties within 5 minutes, the
Judge may direct the next speaker to proceed with the arguments. The speaker who has
missed the opportunity may present the arguments at the sole discretion of the Judge.
