Directions: Your teacher will distribute one picture of each student.
After receiving the pictures, find another student with a picture that
relates to the picture you are holding. After that, discuss with your
partner why you think both pictures you hold have a relationship.
Share your thoughts with the class. Do this in 8 minutes.

Read each item and identify the best word that will complete the
analogy. Then, encircle the letter of your answer. (Refer to pages 10-11,
Challenge 1 and 2, “Brave New World of Learning English)

Abstraction: CHALLENGE 3: MAKE YOUR OWN ANALOGIES
Make your own analogies. Then, ask your classmate to guess
their relationships. Have your classmate write his/her answers
on the lines provided. (Refer to pages 13, Challenge 3 and
Checkout, “Brave New World of Learning English”)
Application: FOLDABLE ORGANIZERS
Directions: In a group of 3 members, create three foldable
organizers covering nine-word relationships. Here are the steps
on how you make your foldable organizers.
 On the front of each flap, write the name of the
relationship on the template.
 On the inside of each flap, write the definition of the word
relationship on the template.
