Introduction Essay Structure
Crafting an essay on the topic of "Introduction Essay Structure" poses its own set of challenges. The
intricacies involved in creating a compelling introduction to an essay may seem paradoxical, as the
introduction is expected to both engage the reader and provide a clear roadmap for the ensuing
discussion.
To begin with, striking the right balance between capturing the reader's attention and conveying the
main theme can be daunting. A well-crafted introduction should be concise yet informative, leaving
the reader eager to delve deeper into the essay's content. Achieving this delicate equilibrium demands
a nuanced understanding of the subject matter and an ability to distill key ideas into a succinct
opening.
Furthermore, the introduction must lay the groundwork for the entire essay, outlining the scope and
purpose. This necessitates a keen awareness of the essay's objectives and a strategic approach to
presenting them. The challenge lies in avoiding excessive detail while providing enough information
to orient the reader.
Additionally, the choice of language and tone becomes crucial in establishing the essay's tone and
creating a connection with the audience. Crafting a compelling introduction requires not only a
command of language but also an awareness of the target audience and their expectations.

Delegation in Nursing
A Discussion of Various Perspectives on Delegation in Nursing Jessica Abbott University
of Central Florida ABSTRACT: Delegation refers to the practice of a registered nurse
assigning certain tasks and activities to other people while still maintaining responsibility
for the actions of the others to whom responsibility has been delegated. The act of
delegating assumes that the delegator has a certain amount of trust in the person to
whom they delegate. Additionally, quality communication is paramount in maintaining
superior patient care when delegating tasks to others. One signifigant obstacle to
delegation is ensuring that the proper tasks are delegated to the appropriate individuals.
The organizational structure and leadership... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Resha s qualms about the particularities of the implementation of delegation don t
detract from her general support for the practice of delegation as such. Statement of
Counter View The main argument against the practice of delegating nursing
responsibilities is that organizational structures often fail to ensure that the people
receiving the delegated responsibilities are qualified to accept the delegation. Resha
(2010) discussed this to some extent, but believed that the practice on the whole was
worthy. However, it could be argued that by its very nature, delegation creates a
discrepancy between the person performing a nursing action and the person
responsible for that action. This could have negative consequences on quality of care,
because if a nurse isn t responsible for her own actions, then she may perform her role
less effectively than she would if she had to take responsibility for her performance.
As Reising and Allen (2007) write, delegation may be encouraged as a way to decrease
costs and deal with low staffing levels, but it can also put the organization at increased
risk for law suits if carried out improperly. Both aspects of this warning are instructive.
First, Reising and Allen seem to suggest that delegation primarily emerges as a result of
practical considerations
Defining Shylock from William Shakespeare s The Merchant...
Defining Shylock from William Shakespeare s The Merchant of Venice
For hundreds of years, the Jews had lived in their ancestral home Palestine but when they
were exiled in about the year 400AD, they scattered throughout Europe and formed a
Diaspora: a community of exiled people. When the Roman Empire deteriorated, many of
the Jews returned to Palestine, and were ruled by the Turks, then the British, eventually
got their own state in 1946.
In 1066, when Jews came over to Britain with William the conqueror, they had to wear
yellow bands to distinguish them: this was highly discriminating and many Jews were
even blamed in murder cases where Christian children were involved, meaning that many

The overall mistreatment of Shylock and other Jews throughout the play is quite evident.
When Shylock is talking to Antonio, he says:
...Suff rance is the badge of all our tribe; you call me misbeliever, cut throat dog, and spit
upon my Jewish gabardine
Also, in the courtroom scene, even the judge, who is supposed to represent justice and
fairness, is biased against him he says to Antonio,
I feel sorry for thee; thou art come to answer a stony adversary...
This shows the magnitude of the prejudice against Jews at the time in Venice.
Shylock s attitude to money is one of greed. He obsesses about the amount of money he
has, and seems to place it as a top priority, even above his family. He may react this way
to money because he is only allowed to do one job, and therefore will gladly charge
Christians high interest because of the way that they have treated him, apparently
without guilt. When Shylock enters into the bond with Antonio, he agrees with Antonio
to ...lend...money...not as to thy friends...but...to thine enemy, who if he break thou may
with better face exact the penalty . This would explain why Shylock is so determined to
receive his bond; he hates Antonio with a vengeance, and has agreed the bond over one
of the most precious things in his life: his money.
Run Forrest, Run! Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you re going
to get This quote perfectly describes the theme/thesis of the film and was Forrest s
motto. Life will take you so far from where you are from, so there is no point in
worrying about it (Kartha). Forrest Gump is carried by faith, wit, finesse, ignorance, and
love throughout the plot. Forrest Gump may have not understood his place in those
events, but he did have an impact on the society around him. At the basis of the movie,
it is a love story, between Forest and Jenny. While he spends nearly the whole movie
mooning over Jenny, she spends the whole movie trying to escape that love until the
end. To her, love is sick and twisted because all she s ever known is her father s abusive
version of it. But eventually, Forrest s unchanging love (and a tragic encounter with
AIDS) transformed Jenny. There is plenty of examples in the film, of how gump uses
his wit or just goes with the flow and the results of it each time it occurs. Throughout the
novel Forrest Gump the main character, Forrest, is made out to look like a slow, dim
witted individual by his peers but perhaps he may not be as unintelligent as everyone
thinks. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Forrest Gump begins his narrative with him in the doctor s office getting a new pair of
shoes. A pair of leg braces designed to straighten his back. This sets the tone of his
character for the movie because you realize that he is not a normal child. Since the
beginning of organized culture in the United States, people with disabilities were
considered meager, tragic, pitiful individuals unfit and unable to contribute to society,
except to serve as ridiculed objects of entertainment in circuses and exhibitions. They
were assumed to be abnormal and feeble minded, and numerous persons were forced to

Gish Jen’s novel Typical American Essay
Gish Jen s novel Typical American A mother drives her three kids to soccer practice in
a Ford minivan while her husband stays at the office, rushing to finish a report.
Meanwhile, a young woman prays her son makes his way home from the local grocery
without getting held up at knife point by the local gang. Nearby, an immigrant finishes
another 14 hour shift at the auto parts factory, trying to provide for his wife and child,
struggling to make way in a new land. Later, a city girl hails a cab to meet her girlfriends
at their favorite club to celebrate her new promotion over cosmopolitans. These people

For Ralph and many young Americans, this fantasy quickly proves false as they grow
up and experience life. In the novel, Ralph s perception of New York City and America
changes almost as quickly as it was originally formed. He is immediately confronted
with a language barrier, leaving him lost and disconnected from his new world. Soon
enough, Ralph was beginning to know what was what. He was lonely still...New York
lost its gleam. He drifted through its streets as if through an exhausted, dusty land, no
detail of which has changed in a thousand years (Jen 13 14). Ralph s hardships clearly
show that coming and surviving in America as an immigrant is not what most perceives
it to be. Instead, the everyday realities of life in America quickly lose that idealistic
gleam which has been polished and revered over so many years, held in the minds of
Americans across the country. Ralph sees the truth of these things and turns to a new path
on the road to the American dream. After the disillusionment of Ralph s initial foray into
American culture, he decides the next best thing is for him to marry and begin a new
life a new reality. Again, Ralph is delighted with his new wife, Helen, and the life they

The Darfur Crisis Essay
Introduction The Responsibility to Protect (R2P) is a concept that has its roots in the
philosophy of Human Security . Human Security can be defined as focusing on the
individual human being as the referent object of security as distinct from the nation state.
R2P and Human Security have gathered impetus in the international community both in
academic and policy spheres with a view to these concepts being justifiers for
humanitarian intervention.
Taking realism as the security argument that deals directly with state security, it is
accepted that nation states have valid concerns in protecting their borders and
populations within from external threats, be they military force or manifestations of
problems stemming from ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A Brief History of R2P in Policy
Before relating the R2P to the Darfur Crisis it is important to understand the fundamental
tenants of the R2P debate in relation to humanitarian intervention and the repercussions
for state sovereignty. The R2P concept can trace its modern origin to the address given
by former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, to the General Assembly in 1999 putting
forward the challenge of preventing another Rwanda.
In response to this challenge the Canadian Government sponsored the foundation of the
International Commission on Intervention and State Sovereignty (ICISS) in 2000 . Its
report The Responsibility to Protect was released the following year. The report outlines
that the main message of R2P is that sovereignty entails responsibility. Responsibility to
protect its citizens from genocide and other gross violations of human rights . Should any
particular nation fail to uphold these protections, then under the R2P concept
responsibility devolves to the international community .
This of course comes with a significant moral weight. The R2P report from the ICISS
effectively changed the conceptual thinking from Humanitarian Intervention to
Responsibility to Protect effectively
Sydney Carton Character Essay
1.Explain a character s problem and then offer your character advice on how to solve his
/her problem.
In my opinion I understood that one of the characters problems was Sydney Carton was
such a sad man for a good reason. He fell in love with someone else s finance. I don t
think anyone can help cartons problem, but advice is always good to hear as well. Also,
love is the most powerful emotion to the human body, for this reason it would be very
difficult to overcome this. What I advice Carton to do is to find someone and move on
with his life, or else he will never get over her and will forever feel depressed.
2. Explain how a character is acting and why you think the character is acting that way.
4. Describe and explain why you would/would not like to have lived in the time or place
of the story. As for what place would be the very worst to live in would have to be Paris.
In Paris I would fear every day that our home would be raided for goods. I would have
not liked to live in this same time period for the sole reason that the French revolution
was still taking place. In my opinion the French revolution was the bloodiest and most
gruesome of war between the people and the government.
7. Pick a scene in which you disagreed how a character handled a situation/person and
rewrite it in the way you think it should have happened. The scene I chose to defiantly
disagree with is when Sidney Carton told Lucie exactly how he feels about her. I just
don t understand why he chose the moment right before her wedding to confess his
love for her it makes no sense to me. It was just such horrible timing to telling her he
loves her right before she vows to love someone else. He should have just told her much
sooner, sooner than Darney of
