250W Subsea Power Puck (SPP)
* Output voltage can go outside limit with rise/fall time < 50ms
** Current above this limit will result in voltage drop and shut down
Extreme load above limit or short circuit in normal operation can
destroy the unit
Power Output Configuration Alternatives
In Battery Charger Mode the secondary side will
deliver an output voltage that matches the
battery capacity and battery configuration. The
250W SPP supports battery charging using CC/CV
algorithm for battery configuration 4S to 12S.
The table below shows default minimum and
maximum charging voltages for the different
battery configurations, but these limits can be
customized.
* Output voltage can go outside limit with rise/fall time < 50ms.
** Current above this limit will result in voltage drop and shut down
Extreme load above limit or short circuit in normal operation can destroy the unit
Please contact [email protected] for other voltage or charging configuration.
COMMUNICATION INTERFACE
The 250W SPP comes in two versions, with or without transparent Ethernet interface.
Parameter Min Typ Max Unit Comment
Start-up time Ethernet 90 sec
Data rate Ethernet*** 80 Mbps See note***
Default IP Primary Side 192.168.1.253 / 24
Default IP Secondary Side 192.168.1.254 / 24
*** Typical values for ordinary TCP/IP traffic test setup. Real-life data rate is dependent on system setup, protocols used and external devices. Link is semi-transparent
with layer-2 processing. Testing should be performed to verify support for Ethernet types/protocols other than standard ARP and IP.
Extreme load above limit or short circuit during normal operation can destroy the unit

IP address Configuration
All Subsea-USB systems are delivered with a fixed IP address. The used addresses are listed in table below. It is
recommended to avoid having other equipment in the same network using the same IP address. Other IP
configurations of the Subsea-USB system are however available upon request as special deliveries. The IP
addresses of the Subsea-USB system do not affect the transmission of data and it is not required that the IP
address of the Subsea-USB system lies within the IP range of the network.
