    MATERIALS AND SIZES IN METAL FRAMING

    MATERIALS

    Wall angle

     Usually l-shaped or corner shaped profile that determine the overall sharpness of the ceiling
     Also wall angle materials are typically made of metal, like galvanized steel or aluminum.

    Metal furring

     Used for metal framing and it supports the entire ceiling.


     It can also be used as nailers for finishing boards.

    Metal furring clip

     It is used to hold the metal furring and carrying channel in place


     Metal furring is made from galvanized steel or other corrosion resistant metals.

    Channel hanger

     It is used to secure the main carrying channel of the ceiling framing.


     Carrying channel hanger also providing the space between structural and ceiling panels that can
    accommodate utilities, ductwork, wiring and other infrastructure.

    Threaded rod

     A type of rod that uses rod hanger to connect the metal framing in the concrete slab or a
    common fastener type

    Nut

     A mechanical fastener with a threaded hole.

    Anchor grip

     Designed for anchoring in concrete, drop-in or anchor grips or grip anchors are internally
    machine screw threaded and have an expansion cone insert.

    Carrying channel

     Its support the main ceiling, on which other furring channels can attach.

    Tex screw

     Known as self-drilling screws, make it easier to complete projects.

    Rivet

     Provide a strong and secure connection in ceiling, by clamping materials together.

    Flat head screw


     Are conical with a flat outer face and a tapering inner face. These screws commonly made out of
    stainless steel or zinc coating.

    Concrete nail

     A type of mechanical fastener used to secure objects into masonry and other hard and brittle
    materials
