Q-1. Tell me about yourself

Answer:
First of all thank you for giving me this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Tapash
Chandra Paul. About my education, I have completed my BBA in Management from
University of Dhaka in the year of 2014. I have completed my HSC from Notre Dame
College and have completed my SSC from Ansar VDP High School.

Coming to my family, I belong to the family of five. My father is a business man and my
mother is a house wife. My strengths are, I am dedicated to the given work, and I will work
hard to complete a given work within a time. I am a quick learner and self-motivated and
trying to motivate others.

My weakness are, I feel uncomfortable and uneasy when the work is incomplete and I always
want it to be perfect. I like put everything in its order. Sometimes I get annoyed if anyone
disturb the orders. If anybody ask help, I never say no.

Coming to my hobbies, I like helping my father in his business, traveling, listening to music,
reading story books and watching movies.

My short term goal to get job in well reputed company like yours. My long term goal would
be reaching the higher position in reputed company.

Q-2.Describe yourself to me in one word.

Answer:
-Punctuality.

Q-3. Why should we hire you?

Answer:
-Everyone has to start somewhere and I believe I could bring something new to your
company.

Q-4. Why are you interested in our organization?

Answer:
- As a fresher I need a platform to show my skills before that I must learn about many skills
to prove myself. I heard your company provide those things for fresher. In addition, I want to
work with an organization where I don’t need to look for a job change and can work for years
with dedication.
Q-5. How would you describe your ideal job?

Answer:-My ideal job is one in which I have lots of autonomy in how I can meet
organizational objectives. From what I’ve read about this job, you’re looking for someone
who can take on a lot of responsibility very quickly, and that sounds like a fantastic
opportunity to me.
Q-6. What is the difference between hard work and smart work?

Answer:
- Hard work means working with lot of effort. Here our body plays active role. And Smart
work means getting the maximum work done with little effort. Here our brain plays active
role.

Q-7. How do you feel about working nights or weekends?

Answer:
-Frankly speaking, I would like to spend my weekends with my friends and family. But if my
presence is necessary for the organization then I will definitely be there to do my work,
whether it is night or weekends.

Q-8. Can you work under pressure?

Answer:
-Now I am sitting in front of you after crossing so many pressures, so I don’t think that I can’t
work under pressure rather it is a chance to know about my ability and to improve myself.

Q-9. Are you willing to relocate?

Answer:
- I don’t see any problem in relocating to a new place. Instead it will provide me exposure to
a new environment, culture and let me interact with different people.

Q-10. How long would you expect to work for us if hired?

Answer:
-Everyone look for their bright future, healthy work environment, good salary, job
satisfaction, and I am pretty sure that your company give such thing so I don’t need to change
this company.

Q-11. Where would you like to be in your career five years from now?

Answer:
Five years from now, I would like to see in a position where I can manage a team of people in
dealing with the project. I would love to see myself being an asset for the organization and
not a liability.

Q-12. How do you define success and how do you measure up to your own definition?

Answer:
- When I tell my story and it makes other people say (I wish I could be like you), is my
definition of success.

Q-13. Are you a good team player?

Answer:-It is always good to work in a team as one can get the support of other members and
in times of crisis everyone can work together to achieve the goal.
Q-14. What worries or concerns do you have about this job?

Answer:
-I don’t have any concerns or worries about the job. But I would like to understand more
about the monthly targets you would like me to achieve in the role and what support you’d be
able to offer to support me in achieving them.

Q-15. Have you received any other job offers?

Answer:
-No. I started applying for jobs only a couple of months ago so companies are just beginning
to get back to me to invite me to interviews.

Q-16. If a competitor offered you a job right now, would you accept?

Answer:
-I would have to weigh up the pros and cons of exactly what they are offering. The most
important factor for me is getting a good training programme and having a boss who will
develop and mentor me. Having said that, I’ve liked the people I’ve met here and have been
impressed by what I’ve read about the career path so I’d rather work here, given the chance

Q-17. What is more important to you money or success?

Answer:
-Money and success both are important for me, but if I have to choose I would choose
success. The reason being, if one is successful money often follows and I need not focus on
money over success.

Q-18. Would you lie for the company?

Answer:
- I am not a person who always speaks truth and lie as well, but I am the person who always
handle situation by finding so many alternatives and by smart way.

Q-19. What makes you angry?

Answer:
- I get angry if someone disturbs me while doing important work. But I know how to control
my anger and handle the situation.

Q-20. What are your goal?

Answer:
-Right now my goal is just to crack this interview and be a part of your company. And long
term goal is to give the job.

Q-21. What is the difference between confidence and over confidence?

Answer:
-If I say I am the one whom your company needs then its confidence. If I say I am the only
one whom your company needs then it’s over confidence.

Q-23. What are your strengths and weaknesses?

Answer:
My strengths are, I am dedicated to the given work, and I will work hard to complete a given
work within a time. I am a quick learner and self-motivated and trying to motivate others. I
have good grasping power. I will work at any situations, at any environment and at any place
throughout the globe.

Q-24. What motivates you to do good job?

Answer:
When I get a compliment from a respected person about my goodness exactly that moment
feels me to get a good job and that is motivate me.

Q.25. Are not you overqualified for this position?

Answer:
I think I am qualified for this job but not overqualified because I am just a beginner and have
lots more to learn. Now I have just theoretical knowledge about my field when I will get
practical knowledge that time I can consider me just a well-qualified not overqualified.
Because learning never ends. And it has no limits.

Q-26. Explain how would be an asset to this organization?

Answer:
As we know that growth of every company depends on the performance of the employees. So
because of my performance and positive approach towards work, I will surely be the asset for
your organization.

Q-27. Who has inspired you in your life and why?

Answer:
I am inspired by my parents, because they are my survivors. They work hard to give what I
want. They are always by my side to protect me from harm. They are always here to solve my
problems and to face the truth. Even if they hurt me, my parents are still there to guide me the
right way to become a good person. They are here to support me in everything. I will always
love my parents until the stars counts to zero.

Q-28. How much salary do you expect?

Answer:
I am a fresher, I will be happy to get what I deserve based on my educational qualification
and work.

Q-29. How do accept criticism?

Answer:
I openly accept criticism without taking any offense and politely thank the person for their
comments.

Q-30. Assuming that you are selected, what will be your strategy for next 60 days?

Answer:
If I am selected for this position, I’ll use my initial 60 days in understanding my role carefully
in terms of the contribution to the business and increasing the overall profitability. I’ll sit with
my line manager and other juniors to understand what has already been done and what its
impact has been. From there on, I’ll formulate my strategy to growth in close conjunction
with managers and see that it is properly implemented.

Q-31. How would you improve upon our product/ company?

Answer:
Since I’d be coming from an altogether new environment, I am bound to possess a new
perspective towards everything here including the company, product, customers,
environment, strategy etc. This will enable me to constructively question things which
anyone else here might not do. This will help in improving the things and making the product
& company better.

Having worked closely with product development team I understand how the research for
product development is carried out and how is customer requirement analyzed; I’d be able to
provide a value addition there too.

Q-32. How Do You About Feel Working in a Team Environment?

Answer:
I believe that I have a lot to contribute to a team environment, and am comfortable in both
leadership and player roles. I'm outgoing, friendly, and have strong communication skills.

Q-33. What Strategies Would You Use to Motivate Your Team?

Answer:
I believe that recognizing positive aspects of employee performance is critical to motivating
most workers.

Q-34. What is your idea of an ideal company?

Answer:
An ideal company provides maximum opportunities for growth of employees. They provide
comfortable and flexible work environment, so that employees can perform at their best and
work towards company’s benefit.

Q-35. What are the most important things for you as a manager?

Answer:
The two things which should be most important for a manager to succeed in his role are:

a.) His team should be happy and keep performing

b.) The project he is working on with his team is successfully finished with minimum
problems.

Q-36. Looking back, what would you do differently in your life?

Answer:
-It's been a good life, rich in learning and experience, and the best is yet to come. Every
experience in life is a lesson in its own way. I wouldn't change a thing.

Q-37. What would you say to your boss if he's crazy about an idea but you think it
stinks?

Answer:
I believe that when evaluating anything, it's important to emphasize the positive. If I have
reservations, I certainly want to point them out, as specifically, objectively and factually as I
can.

Q-38. What do you look for when you hire people?

Answer:
I weave them around the three most important qualifications for any position:

1) Can the person do the work (qualifications)?

2) Will the person do the work (motivation)?

3) Will the person fit in (team player")?

Answer:

Ø Efficiency is the achievement of the objectives with the least amount of time / resources.

Q-40. What is Job Description?


Answer:
Job description is a broad statement of the purpose, scope, duties & responsibilities of a
particular job.

Q-41. What is Job Specification?


Answer:
Job Specification is a detailed statement of the physical and mental activities involved in the
job, i.e., age, sex, educational qualification, experience, special qualities, physical
specification etc.

Q-42. What is Delegation of Authority?


Answer:
Delegation of authority is the transfer of authority for specific administrative functions from a
central office level to an organizational level

Answer:
Leading is the process of influencing and directing a group of people toward achieving
organizational goals.

Q-44. Define Power?


Answer:
Power is the ability of individuals or groups to induce or influence the beliefs or actions of
other persons or groups.

Answer:

 Mission is a state for getting social legitimacy in favor of business. It is the


organization’s purpose/reason for existence
 Vision is the dream of entrepreneur that show the fundamental inspiration/purpose of
the organization
 Goal is the destiny of organization

Q-46. Define Free-Rein Leader?


Answer:
Free-Rein leader uses his or her power very little giving subordinates a high degree of
independence in their operations.
