Stage 1: Identify Desired Results


Objectives/Outcomes: What key knowledge & skills will students acquire as a result of this
lesson? You need at least one objective and can add more as needed. Use a verb from Bloom’s
Taxonomy chart to describe what students will be able to do by the end of the lesson

By the end of this lesson, students will be able to (SWBAT):

o Recognize and pronounce the professions names.


o Develop the ability to express themselves in the English language.

Stage 2: Determine acceptable evidence

Assessment: What evidence will show that students have achieved the objective by the end of
the lesson? How does the assessment measure the objective?

 Oral participation the teacher will show a picture of different professions and the students will have to say
the name of the profession and their favorite profession to develop their English pronunciation.
 

Stage 3: Learning Experiences/Classroom Activities

Lesson Plan: Which activities will help the students achieve the objective(s)? Give instructions on how to
perform each activity with a description of what the teacher and student will do for each step of the lesson. Any
materials used for each activity must be added to the Materials section below

WARM-UP ACTIVITY: The teacher will say what their favorite profession and then play a video with a song about
the professions. Then the students will review with the teacher the professionals’ vocabulary seen in the video.

TEACHER LESSON (I do) The teacher will show the photocards and the video of the professions and she going
to teach how pronounce it.

STUDENT ACTIVITY (We do): The teacher will make groups of 2 and will give them 3 photocards each of
different professions and they will have to tell each other the name of each profession so that they can practice
the pronunciation and help each other.

STUDENT ACTIVITY (You do together): The teacher will paste the photocards on the board and ask the students
individually what profession they would like to be when they grow up? the students will be able to improve their
pronunciation and will be given help if they need it.

STUDENT ASSESSMENT ACTIVITY (You do alone): The teacher will give them stickers of the professions and
a work page with drawings of the profession's uniform. The student should place the sticker of the profession next
to the drawing of the uniform corresponding to the profession.
