MINUTES OF THE DRILL


Mention all events with times during the drill, begining from sounding of the alarms to carrying out the debriefing and
stand down.
1630 H : Fire alarm sounded, Master announced through public address “Fire drill…2x, fire in the Galley ”. All crew
proceed to the muster station.
1632 H : Mustering conducted all accounted for, C/O as leader of fire squad/fire team reported, “Fire team
members were present”
1638 H : Fire team prepare Emergency fire pump started by the technical team and prepare the fire hoses, back up
team made the closing of fire doors, side scuttles & other openings, shutting down ventilation & exhaust in
galley, fire flaps, vent around accommodation, prepared two fire hoses 1 in portside and 1 in stbd side for
boundary cooling.
1640 H : C/O sent 2 person of fire team with breathing apparatus proceed to (Pump man & AB3 / BA pressure 200
per Cylinder) enter galley with Master’ permission, attacked fire by fire extinguishers
1645 H : Fire has been extinguished, fire squad check for any fire re-ignition in the galley. Galley clear, fire caused
by stove left open and catches fire on a heated towel.
1650H : C/O gathered crew in alleyways, explained on how to approach fire in the galley especially opening of heated
fire doors. Closing of fire doors, side scuttles and other openings. Remind to crew that only fire fighters
with BA suit must approach the fire.
1655 H : Explanation completed. Fire Drill completed proceeded to the next Drill.

REVIEW PROCEDURE

This review shall be performed every time a Emergency Drill has been carried out. The Master shall carry out a
complete review of the emergency procedures and drill along with all participants after completion of drill. The
following areas are to be covered (Put a tick mark in the relevant box against each item).
