I. OBJECTIVES
The learners demonstrate organisms interacting with each other
A. Content Standard and with their environment to survive.
The learners shall be able to employ appropriate techniques using
B. Performance Standard the compound microscope to gather data about every small
objects.
C. Most Essential Learning
Competency (MELC) with Describe the different ecological relationships found in an
Code ecosystem (S7LT-IIh-10)
D. Unpacked Learning At the end of the session, the students must be able to:
Competency/Objectives 1. identify different ecological relationships in an ecosystem
2. describe how organisms interact with each other
3. appreciate the importance of ecological relationships in an
ecosystem
II. CONTENT
Ecological Relationships
IV. PROCEDURES
1. ELICIT 4 PICS 1 WORD – Review the previous lesson by having a game
A. Reviewing of the previous called “4 PICS 1 WORD. Using the set of pictures and jumbled
lesson or presenting new lesson letter, the group will guess what the word is. The group who can
give the correct answer will gain a point.
Then, let
the students read the definition of the following words. AIONUPLOPT
1. Ecosystem – It is a community of living organisms interacting with each
other and their non-living environment.
2. Population – Organisms that belong to the same species and live in the same place
3. Biotic Factor – any living part of an environment
4. Abiotic Factor – a non-living part of an environment
C. Presenting examples/instances Introduce the topic on Ecological Relationships. Tell the learners
of the new lesson that in an ecosystem, both the biotic and abiotic factors are
interacting with each other. These interactions may have a
positive, neutral, or even negative influences on populations.
Altogether, let us learn more on this.
3. EXPLORE STATION-INTERACTION
D. Discussing new concepts and There are 3 stations where hanging mobile on ecological
practicing new skills #1 relationships can be found. Learners will work in group (pair) to
better understand ecological relationships in an ecosystem. In
every station, learners will identify the type of ecological
relationship involved in each picture. Learners will follow the
steps and record their observations on their worksheet .
E. Discussing new concepts and
practicing new skills #2
4. EXPLAIN GROUP PRESENTATION- Learners will present their
F. Developing mastery (Leads to findings/answers once they have completed the activity in
formative assessment) exploration stage. During the explanation, the teacher will be
clearing up any misconceptions about ecological relationships
with an interactive PowerPoint presentation.
H. Making generalizations and To summarize the lesson, recall the 3 objectives presented at the
abstractions about the lesson beginning of the class.
Let the students answer the questions.
Objective #3 is an open-ended question which is also considered
as a value integration to the lesson.
6. EVALUATE MCYSSETOE FACT OR BLUFF
I. Evaluative Learning For the evaluation part, there will be a 7-item test from the lesson
discussed.
7. EXTEND Visit a local garden in your place or at your home and observe

application or remediation
