    1. (a) Explain the following as related to law:


    (i) Ordinance of reason [5 Marks]
    (ii) Promulgation [5 Marks]
    (iii) Common good [5
    Marks]
    (iv) One in charge of society [5 Marks]

    (b) Discuss the relation between law and morality. [10 Marks]

    2. (a) Elaborate on the relation between divine law, natural law and positive law. [10 Marks]
    (b) Do the three types of laws differ in principle? [10 Marks]

    3. Explain why you think justice is a necessary virtue of society. [20 Marks]

    4. State and explain the necessary conditions for the legal justification of self-defense.

    5. Discuss the claim that “due process of law presupposes some guarantee of the equality of
    application of the law. [20 Marks]
