The Cavite City Library and Museum was formed to serve as a


depository of historical and cultural information and artifacts. With
books, photographs, memorabilia and relic that records the city's
history and progress. It also serves as a learning and information
center for Cavite residents and other nearby towns.

A monument was erected to honor the thirteen Filipinos who were


executed in Cavite on September 11, 1896. Later known as the Thirteen
Martyrs of Cavite or the Trece Martires, these Cavitenos were
arrested by the Spaniards and charged with rebellion for being
members of the Katipunan.
