using technology, including social interactions students to be able to interact with the Padlet
online or when using networked devices. in which they communicate with each other in
positive and ethical behavior.

What is the student learning goal(s) for this lesson idea?  I can evaluate and communicate
information and demonstrate the water cycle.

During the lesson students will have many opportunities to work on developing on Blooms level.
During the lesson student will have a chance to create their own diagram of the water cycle
making student remember the cycle, analyze where they are located and the create the diagram.
How do you plan to implement this lesson and integrate the technology? Check all that apply:

X Teacher-led: There is no student voice and choice in the activities. Students are guided by
teacher direction and expectations. Learning activities are assigned to the
student and mostly practice based.

☐ Student-Led: Students are given voice and choice in the activities. They may select the topic
of learning and/or determine the tool they will use to meet the learning goal. The
teacher facilitates the learning as the students direct their own learning processes.

We will through the Padlet together since it new lesson, but I will student adequate time for student
to finish each section. I will start by engaging students in by providing a hook. I will start by having
students click on link to the simulation, this will get students excited to and interested in what are
about to learn about. With the stimulation there will be a question and students will post a
comment after watching the stimulation. After that students will be engaged, and they will watch
the BrainPOP video about the water cycle and then have them draw the water cycle using Padlet and
then comment on someone drawing. Padlet is a good way to keep student engaged all throughout
the lesson because the activities are interactive and fun. Students will take a Quizizz towards the end
this will assess their understanding and to make they were following along. At the end students will
be able to reflect on the lesson and post anonymously so they feel confident on the feedback for
me. My role in the lesson is to keep students at pace and be engaged during the lesson as well. I will
also be around to answer questions and help with any issues or difficulties.

Managing student learning:

Padlet allows for students to shift from passive learners to social learns by allowing students to work
to interacting together during the lesson. Each task will have a different time because each task is
different, for the task that involve posting a comment, I will allow about 8 minutes. The drawing task
will get about 10 minutes to post and comment. The Quizizz will get 15 minutes to complete.
Students will shift to social learners because they will co engage with classmates on the Padlet
platform. Padlet will keep students engaged because they will find themselves engaged during the
lesson and end the lesson with a reflection and feedback.

Universal Design for Learning (UDL):

Students will be engaged in the lesson because each task is interactive and allows them to have a
chance to express themselves. Students will be able to express themselves in multiples different
ways. Right from the start of the lesson with the stimulation students will be to see the water cycle
visual. Students will also have the choice to draw the water cycle or record a response. students also
will have the choice to provide an audio instead of written response if they would like to.
Reflective Practice: After designing this lesson idea, do you believe this tool will help students build
understanding in a way they could not do with traditional tools? Why or why not? What do you look
forward to implementing the most in this lesson? Why?
After designing this lesson idea, I truly believe this tool will improve my students learning during the
lesson. This tool will help students see what they are learning rather than just listening to a lecture.
This tool is helpful during the lesson because it is very interactive, and you can easily check for
understanding. Students can easily communicate through the Padlet will not feel embarrassed to ask
questions like in traditional class lecture.
