    LESSON PLAN IN PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT 12

    QUARTER 2, MODULE 5
    Family Traditions

    I. OBJECTIVES

    K Identify a tradition your family follows.


    S Create your own tradition that you want to share to your family as a legacy.
    A Show understanding on the importance of family traditions in maintaining harmonious relationships
    within the family.

    II. SUBJECT MATTER


    Personal Development 12, Module 5 (EsP-PD11/12FSL-IId-e-11.3)
    Materials: Powerpoint presentation, TV, art pictures
    Values Integration: Maintaining harmonious relationships

    III. PROCEDURE:
    A. Preparatory Activities
    1. Greetings, Prayer, Checking of attendance
    2. Review of previous lesson (Family Structures and Legacies)
    3. Motivation
    “Appreciating Filipino Art”. Art pieces depicting Filipino culture will be flashed on the screen.
    Students will be asked what is being depicted in each painting.
    Ask the following questions:
    1. What can you say about the paintings?
    2. What Filipino traditions are shown in the art pieces?
    3. Do you follow these traditions at home until now? Why?

    B. Presentation of the Lesson


    1. Define tradition.
    2. Present the importance family traditions in our daily lives.
    3. Discuss tips on how to create family traditions
    4. Suggest ways on how to create family traditions.
    5. Ask students for their own ideas.

    C. Activity
    Students will be grouped into 4. They will be discussing and sharing ideas how to create family
    traditions that will keep family relationships stronger. Each group should have at least 5 ideas created.
    Have these written in a piece of paper. Ten minutes is given to every group to do the activity.

    D. Generalization
    Ask students what they have learned on the discussion.

    E. Application
    From their own collaborated ideas, they will now present their work to the whole class, through a
    song, role play, talk show or commercial.
