Process evaluation is conducted with a collaborative planning team that includes key

stakeholders with a multidisciplinary professional perspective and an understanding of the

illetarative nature of process evaluation and implementation. Assessing whether you have the
inputs required to implement a project may seem like an obvious initial step. However, projects
can falter if the necessary resources are not available in the right place, at the right time. The
writer shall focus on Indicators of Inputs, Activities, Outputs, Outcomes, Performance and
project monitoring and Impacts just to mention a few on answering the question. Process
evaluation is used to monitor and document program implementation and can aid in
understanding the relationship between specific program elements and program. An indicator is a
quantitative or qualitative factor or variable that provides a simple and reliable means to measure
achievement, to reflect the changes connected to an intervention and or to help assess the
performance of a development.

Objectives, these are important features of the research that are based on facts and include steps
designed to minimize the impact of the biases or personal preferences of the researcher, funder or
others involved in the research on the findings in order to develop a clear process evaluation.
Process evaluation questions based on the program. This initial draft of process evaluation
objectives can be organized by intervention component and guided by the elements of a process
evaluation plan. Persons evaluating implementation should be independent of facilitators and
other persons involved with presenting a program, and vice versa. There is need to also track
down the number of participants and their attendance. Separating implementation and evaluation
personnel helps avoid conflicts of interest, let alone burnout. To acquire well-polished data there
is a need for the separation of duties. Either one hires outside evaluators or train someone
associated with your organization is a matter of budget and opportunity and all these should be
put into considerations.

More so one considers indicators, Indicators can be used to track the resources that are used in
development programming, and the activities of project staff and their partners. Information on
inputs and activities is essential as a management tool in order to determine if projects are
efficient, economical and to inform decisions about whether and how, to scale up or replicate
those that are successful. Input indicators, inputs are the raw materials that provide a basis for
resources and activities. They can include money, technical expertise, relationships and
personnel.

Human capital is an important consideration when undertaking process evaluation. Therefore

there is need to for engaging or assigning personnel to perform these .Performance and project
monitoring, it examines whether the activities captured in one’s research model were
implemented as planned within the objectives. Project monitoring focusing on activities, outputs
and their contribution to outcomes. Monitoring is the continuous observation of a project’s
progress by systematically gathering key performance data for regular analysis.

Effectiveness and efficiency when carrying-out process evaluation, fidelity monitoring shows
how closely you adhered to the program. The closer you can come to implementing the program
as intended, the better your chance of achieving your goals and desired outcomes. Evidence-
based programs depend on certain minimum dosages for validity, which makes returning
participants a prerequisite to success. It is crucial to monitor your program’s fidelity, after each
session ends or at the conclusion of the program, you can conduct satisfaction surveys or debrief
with participants. Also members and other adults might offer observations on the implementation
quality, thus the closer you come to implementing the program as it was intended, the better your
chances of achieving your goals and desired outcomes.

Data Source, information that may be used as the basis for measurement, for instance using
public surveys, administrative records, interviews, focus groups and observations. Encompasses
information collected specifically for the purpose of measurement and pre-existing courses, such
as budgets, reports and legislative documents. Also there is value for money defined as
consisting of three related components, which include Economy that is, are project inputs being
purchased at the right price. Efficiency, looking at the relationship between the investment done
in inputs and the outputs that are obtained at the end and also Effectiveness that is are outputs
leading to the expected outcomes or goals. Outcome Indicators are also key consideration when
conducting processes evaluation. Outcomes are the benefits that a project or intervention is
designed to deliver. By tracking outcome indicators and the impact one is able to assess whether
the project delivered of is delivering the anticipated benefits or wanted results. Outcomes are
also important when comparing data. Comparing research data is of vital importance as outcome
indicators provide information on the distribution of the research and also outlines areas for
improvements.

Furthermore, Output indicators describe the delivery of products, including, but not limited to:
the providing training and technical assistance. Outputs are the tangible and intangible products
that result from project activities. Almost every project experiences unforeseen obstacles to
implementation. This might be due to, for instance lack of resources, political instability and lack
of basic infrastructure and this can obstruct a project towards it fulfilment. A project is
accountable for achieving outcomes and contributing to development impact. Since the
achievement of broad, long-term development changes depends on many factors, all outcomes of
a project should contribute to the intended impact. Impact is defined as the positive and negative,
primary and secondary long-term effects produced by a development intervention, directly or
indirectly, intended or unintended. Impact is the result that links to the project objectives. It is
often only detectable after several projects have been done over time and usually not attained
during the life cycle of one project.  Due to this there is need to plan for impact and be aware that
the project will likely achieve outcomes.

Project closure ensures that all participants and stakeholders to the project are informed of
follow-on activities (e.g. new projects, service transitions, etc.), and have sufficient opportunity
to communicate and coordinate with related projects and/or production service owners. Closing
activities must also include identification and capture of lessons learned and best practices, and
archival of these organizational process assets for subsequent reference, organizational learning
and reuse.

During the final closure, or completion phase, the emphasis is on releasing the final deliverables
to the customer, handing over project documentation to the business, terminating supplier
contracts, releasing project resources, and communicating the closure of the project to all
stakeholders. The last remaining step is to conduct lessons-learned studies to examine what went
well and what didn’t. Through this type of analysis, the wisdom of experience is transferred back
to the project organization, which will help future project teams.

In conclusion the above essay explained how project evaluation is done through objectives. The
essay also stated the fact that project evaluation considers many aspects when conducting project
evaluation. As the essay
