Footing and Column
1 First of all, we should clean the top surface of the PCC by
spreading a Water.
2 Secondly, surveyor mark points of Footing and Column on PCC.
Footing point mark as an F1, F2.F3, and F4 and
Column point mark as a C1, C2, C3, and C4 on PCC.
Moreover, we will mark this all points with the help
of Permanent Marker.
3 Thirdly we will draw a layout of footing and column one by
one
Moreover, we will mark a line from F1 to F2,
Consequently F2 to F3, F3 to F4 and F4 to F1.
Similarly we will mark for column Layout on site
MATERIAL USED IN CONSTRUCTION OF COLUMN
RCC (REINFORCED CEMENT CONCRETE) COLUMN IS A STRUCTURAL MEMBER
OF RCC FRAME STRUCTURED BUILDING.
IT IS A VERTICAL MEMBER WHICH TRANSFERS THE LOAD FROM SLAB AND
BEAM DIRECTLY TO SUBSEQUENT SOIL WITH HELP OF FOUNDATION.

BEAM DIRECTLY TO SUBSEQUENT SOIL WITH HELP OF FOUNDATION

MATERIAL USED IN CONSTRUCTION OF COLUMN –
1. CEMENT
2. COARSE AGGREGATE
3. FINE AGGREGATE
4. STEEL BARS
5. WATER
6. SHUTTERING
Reinforcement of Footing and Column
Fourthly we will start Reinforcement work.
Firstly we place a reinforcement bar of Botton Jali of footing,
both X and Y direction.X-direction reinforcement bar .

Secondly Now we will bind the Reinforcement bar with binding wire.
Thirdly we will stand up for a Vertical main bar. Consequently,
we will bind a Stirrups or Ring to support a Vertical main bar of
Column .

Fourthly we will stand up a Chair and bind it with a bottom Jali .

Fifthly we will set both X and Y
direction Top Jali
reinforcement and bind it with
each other .
Finally we will bind a Master Ring
to a vertical main bar
because it prevents movement
while casting a concrete

COLUMN REINFORCEMENT WORK
AFTER

AFTER MARKING THE COLUMN LOCATION, WE THEN START

TO
PLACE REINFORCEMENT AS INSTRUCTED TO THE
STRUCTURAL DRAWING
FOR EXAMPLE –C1-8,20MM DIAAND STIRRUP 10MM DIA@ 4 +
6INCH C/C
THIS MEAN THE COLUMN C1 WILL HAVE 12 NUMBER OF 16MM
DIABARS
AS THE VERTICAL BAR AND 10MM DIASTEEL SHOULD BE
PLACED
4 INCH CENTER TO CENTER SPACING AS THE STIRRUPS
MEANS THE MIDDLE HALF PORTION OF CLEAR HEIGHT OF
COLUMN WILL HAVE 6 INCH CENTER TO CENTER SPACING OF
STIRRUPS AND THE UPPERONE-FOURTH AS WELL AS BOTTOM
ONE-FOURTH HEIGHT
OF THE COLUMN CLEAR HEIGHT WILL HOLD STIRRUPS AT 4
INCH CENTER TO CENTESPACING

STEEL OF DIFFERENT DIAMETER
COLUMN FORMWORK

COLUMN FORMWORK IS A TERM USED

FOR STRUCTURES THAT ARE USED TO SUPPORT FORMS
OR MOLD FOR TO POURED CONCRETE IN COLUMN MOLD.
IT CAN BE EASILY OR BE SIMPLE
AS A REINFORCED CARDBOARD TUBE FOR
SMALL CYLINDRICAL COLUMNS OR VERY COMPLEX FORMS
CONSTRUCTED FROM MANY PIECES OF WOOD AND METAL
MANDIR constructed columns
For constructing a designed or decorative columns
They firstly prepared a mold of it .
Then they greec it through out before using
Condut pipe
