Objectives :

• To have a common understanding in the submission of

form and plans

• To lessen or eliminate the re-submission of plans

• To discuss the different deficiency or lacking information

need in the application of Electrical Wiring Installation
Requirements:

• Covering / Transmittal Letter with contact name and tel. /cell phone
number (if contractor need to provide Authorization from the Owner )

• Three (3) printed copy of plans/drawings and application forms

signed and sealed by a professional electrical engineer (PEE) and 1
soft copy in PDF form

❑Dry sealed must be in accordance

to the prescribed design of “RA
7920” or the New Electrical
Engineering Law
Requirements:

• All electrical plans and drawings shall be drawn

on drawing sheets of the following standard size:

760 X 1000 mm
600 X 900 mm
500 X 760 mm
Article 1.3 .1.1 Drawing Sheet Sizes

S/1 S/1
Requirements:

• All plans/drawings and application forms

are to be signed by the owner/manager or
his/her authorized representative

• Photocopy of the current PRC ID & PTR of

the PEE who signed & sealed of the plan
and the PEE/REE who is in-charged / to
supervise the installation

• Certificate of appearance of the PEE

Evaluation of Application form:
Electrical Wiring Installation form

➢ Name of Establishment ➢ Electrical loads, equipment/ poles

➢ Location of the Installation installed
➢ Nature of Work or Process • Total connected Load (kVA)
• No. of poles within the premises
• No. of guying attachment
• Total capacity of transformer,
Uninterrupted Power Supply and
Generator (kVA) which are installed by the
owner
• Total Electric Meter
Evaluation of Application form:

➢ Methods of wiring ➢ All forms are signed and sealed by the PEE
who signed and sealed the technical plans

➢ TIN number of the company

Common Deficiency/ies in the Application form:

✓The total connected load is not the same as reflected in the load
schedule computation

✓The total capacity of Txmer, UPS, Generator are not the same as
reflected in the single line diagram

✓Types of Services is not reflected in the form

Common Deficiency/ies in the Application form:

✓No signature of Owner/ Authorize representative

✓No dry seal of the signing PEE

✓No methods of wiring

Evaluation of Electrical Plans:

• Bordering areas showing

public and well-known street,
✓ Location and site plan; location of service drop,
(1.3.2.1 Plan Requirements) service equipment, nearest
pole and meter including the
clearance of service drop and
service entrance

✓ Legend or symbol and

schedule of loads;
Evaluation of Electrical Plans:
✓General notes and/or specifications;
• Nature of electrical services, including of number of phases, number of
wire and phases
• Types of wiring ;
• Special Equipment
• System or method of grounding
• Types and rating of main disconnecting means, OCP and branch circuit
• Clearance of service drop, burial depth for service lateral, Mounting
heights of meter, outlet and lighting switch

✓Plans for power and lighting;

✓Plans for fire detection and alarm circuits (if any);

Evaluation of Electrical Plans:

• Motor Loads
✓Schedule of Loads; • Lighting and Receptacle Loads
• Other Loads

• Voltage drop calculation

• Short circuit computation w/
✓Design analysis and
impedance diagram
computations; • Protection coordination
• Arc Flash Analysis)
Evaluation of Electrical Plans:

• Lighting and receptacle outlet loads

• Motor Loads
✓One Line Diagram;
• Feeders and Subfeeders
• Load Center

• Exposed conductor
• Auxiliary gutter, wireways, busways cabinets, boxes,
mettalic raceways and underground installation
✓Other Details; • Private pole
• Low energy power and low voltage installation
• Grounding and Bonding
Evaluation of Electrical Plans:

• Location and dimension

✓Plans and specifications for • Structural requirements
indoor and/or outdoor
substation (ref. 1.3.3 Substation • Electrical requirements
plans and Specification)
• Cross sectional views

• Miscellaneous
Common Deficiency/ ies of Electrical Plans:

➢ No design Analysis (Refer to Philippine Electrical Code 2017 ( Article

1.3.2.1 F Design Analysis)

➢ Indicate Passed or Failed in the computation of Voltage Drop

➢ No signature of owner’s or authorize representative

➢ No dry seal of the signing PEE

Common Deficiency/ ies of Electrical Plans:

➢ Single line diagram data is not the same as in the load schedule

➢ Circuit homerun is not reflected in the drawing
