My final conclusion.

About the subject CKV.

Lisanne Laurens.
In this essay for the subject CKV, we had to give our opinion about the subject CKV. We also
have to tell in this essay what we have learned and how we think about this subject. This
year we started with the subject CKV, it is also the only year we have this subject. To be
honest, I think one year of CKV is meaningless. It had been better if there was no CKV at all,
or if the teachers would teach it the entire school period. Honestly said, I would choose for
the first option. Out of this comment, you can probably already note that I think the subject
CKV is not that interesting and not that necessary.

In the beginning of the year, I was curious about this subject, because we never had it
before, I was curious about what the whole subject CKV meant. After a view lessons, I
thought it was a bit lame, I got a little bit bored if we did not do anything interesting. And
after another couple of lessons, I was reluctant to see that I had to go to my CKV lesson. I
thought it was not that interesting, I was not captivated. But actually I never thought that I
would be. No matter how hard the teacher tries, it is not his fault, I just think the subject CKV
is a bit lame.

To be honest, I still not exactly know the meaning of the subject CKV. I know the teacher
want us to learn something about art etcetera, but if you are not interested in the beginning
of the year, you'll never be interested in this subject. Well, that is what I think. I think when
you are not bother to show that you are interest, you will never succeed to show interest in
the subject CKV and I think that that is what happened to me, I never had been interested in
this subject I guess and I never gave the subject CKV a fair chance. I also did not like the fact
that we had to write a report of everything we visited.

We have been away for several times with the whole class for this course in order to visit
museums or something like that. I think it was about 2 times if I remember it correctly that
we visited something. The first time we went to the exhibition of Cosima von Bonin in the
Witter de Withstraat, but I had to go by myself because I was ill that day. And the second
visit was to the fotomuseum in Rotterdam, that is not very long ago, I think about two or
three weeks. We also had to visit things by our self. One time I went to the cinema, to watch
the movie eat, pray, love. It was not my meaning to go there for CKV, I remembered that I
could also use that as one of my reports for the subject. I also visited the Booijmans museum
in Rotterdam, I did that together with my father, because he finds that interesting. That is
already four reports in total and because I am a havo student, I need to write six reports in
total. I had no more inspiration about where I could still go to, that is why I chose to write
my other reports about the Christmas holiday and the American sitcom the Big Bang Theory.
What we saw in the exhibition of Cosima von Bonin in the Witter de Withstraat, were in
generally stuffed animals, which were all presented in a special way, also in all different
ways. It was very fun to look at. What we saw in the fotomuseum in Rotterdam was the
exhibition Angry. This exhibition was mainly about radicalism. We saw all kind of different
photo’s which presented this topic. What I saw in the cinema, was the movie eat, pray, love.
It is a movie about a married woman who realizes how unhappy her marriage really is, and
that her life needs to go in a different direction. After a painful divorce, she takes off on a
round-the-world journey to "find herself". The last thing I visited was the Booijmans museum
in Rotterdam, there I saw different painting compositions of different artists. I saw a lot of
different styles and types of paintings.

What I did not like in the fotomuseum was that all the pictures looked like each other, but
what I also did not like was the way how our accompanist was talking and explaining about
the exhibition. She talked a bit in an annoying tone. What I did not like in the Booijmans
museum Rotterdam, was that there were too much different exhibitions, you could not
concentrate and focus on one specific exhibition. I found it a bit distracting.

What I did like in the fotomuseum was that we could go outside and take our own radicalism
photo’s, when we were back in the building, we watched each other’s photo’s. I thought I
thought it was fun to see how my class mates did it. What I did like in the Booijmans
museum Rotterdam, was the garden, I thought it was a beautiful area with a quiet and
relaxed atmosphere. The garden was very big with a lot of grass, next to some water. In the
grass lay all different sizes of silver balls, it just looked nice. You could sit there if you would
like to relax. When I went to the cinema, I watched the movie with a lot of pleasure the
whole time. I thought that was a nice movie. The last thing I did like was the mirror room in
the exhibition of Cosima von Bonin. It was very special and fun to look at.

With the subject CKV we also did a lot of fun things, as you can read, but I still have no idea
what I actually learned in this course.
