ACTIVITY PROPOSAL

I. NAME OF PROJECT: THE GRANDEUR in Digitized Media Writing

II. IMPLEMENTING SCHOOL:

CPNHS Kita-Kita Extension

III. RATIONALE:

The CPNHS Kita-Kita Extension activity entitled “The Grandeur in


Digitized Media Writing” is one way of introducing the learners in a different
pathway other than the traditional paper and pen. This allows the learners,
specifically the composition of the publication staff to widen their range in
extending the platforms in the digital world specifically in writing.
In addition, the conduct of the activity will provide different sessions in
the different categories in journalism will be an avenue to revive the love for
journalism and writing perse. In the case of the publication staff, The
Grandeur is still on the lookout for the completion of its members so scouting
of writers will also be one of the activity’s targets.
This will also be the first digital media writing activity in CPNHS Kita-
Kita Extension which will be held in a series of webinar covering the different
categories in Journalism. Considering that there will be an opportunity
regarding the limited face-to-face instruction, continuous facilitation will be
observed.

IV. OBJECTIVES:
This extension activity will be implemented with the following aims:
a. Train learners through conduct of webinar series on the
different Journalism categories on both English and Filipino.
b. Promote digitized pathway in writing articles and conducting
sessions in journalism.
c. Revive the learners’ love for journalism and writing.
d. Scout for potential writers which will complete the set of
publication staff.

V. TARGET PHYSICAL OUTPUTS:


All the learners of CPNHS Kita-Kita Extension, especially writers of the
SBJP

X. PROJECT PROCESS/PROCEDURES

A. Series of sessions covering the different categories in


journalism. These are:

1. Conduct planning activities on the implementation of the activity of


The Grandeur in Digital Media Writing.

2. Mentor’s conference and orientation wherein all the proposed


mentors before the conduct of the activity or writing sessions will
convene for the clarifications on the matrix of activities including the
SBJP advisers and School Head.

3. Dissemination of information through Facebook pages of CPNHS


Kita-Kita Extension as for promotional intent of the activity.

4. School-based implementation of the mentoring sessions in
Journalism specifically the writing sessions intended for the different
categories in Journalism.

5. Writing sessions of the participants.

6. Accomplishment of the school online-publication.

B. Expected Outputs:

1. Action plan in SBJP.


2. Minutes of the meeting on planning sessions.
3. Accomplishment report in Mentoring sessions.
4. Complete set of Publication Staff.
5. Online publication of the Grandeur for the 2021-2022 issue.

C. Expected Activities:

1. Orientation Program to the members of SBJP regarding the


functions and role/responsibilities of campus journalists.
2. Conduct of Webinar-Workshops.
3. Writing collections of different news in the school and the
community.
4. Production of online publication for the 2021-2022 issue

XI. PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The continuous search for the improvement in education at CPNHS


Kita-Kita Extension has been seen from the past years it served the people of
Brgy. Kita-Kita and its feeder barangays. As the school uphold the constant
privilege of educating young minds in this time of pandemic, the school
continuously seek for the betterment in one of its projects underlying the
journalism program of the school.
The Grandeur in Digitized Media Writing is an activity which will promote
familiarization on the use of digital platform in writing articles as to which the
end output of the program will be the online publication of The Grandeur for
the 2021-2022 issue.
Moreover, the conduct of activity will be opened to all learners in KKHS
who have the desire in writing but are not given enough chance to cultivate
their innate writers in them. So, through the offered sessions learners or
participants of the activity will gain enough support and provision under the
mentors in KKHS.

This also allows the school to scout for writers who will complete the set
of publication staff in KKHS, for some of the position from the publication staff
are vacant. During the conduct of the activity the school paper advisers and
mentors will have the chance to assign and chose amongst the participants
best fit in the vacant positions.
