    ANSWER:

    My reflection or understanding on the past video discussion or the Chapter 3-


    Part 1 video discussion was all about the Metropolitan Police their motto is
    “Working together for a safer London” this topic was focused on the policing
    system in London. In this video discussion I learned what are the 3 policing styles
    the watchman, legalistic, and service this topic contained in the previous video
    discussion. The bow street runners was came from the name of the street that
    inhated by Henry Fielding the founder or the creater of this force and he is a writer
    and judge. This force is the London’s first professional police force and they are the
    persons who chase or capture thieves and robbers why they called as runners. The
    other topic is the Thief-takers they are private individual hired to capture individuals
    they are usually hired by the crime victims. In this force the crime was decreased
    because of the leadership of the most notorious thief-taker Jonathan Wild and he is
    the powerful gang leader in London. The second force is the Marine Police Force
    MPF or also known as Thames River Police. Created by Patrick Colquhoun and
    master mariner John Harriott in 1798. This force is the persons who protect the
    coastal areas in their country against piracy because lots of crime also happened in
    the ocean and sea areas. This force is also considered as the first modern police
    force in the world. They are originally a private police that being paid by local
    magistrates. I also learned here the three kinds of police forces in England the
    London Police, County Police and the Borough Police or the smallest police force in
    England, this is the last slide that Ms. Reyes teach to us on the part one of our video
    discussions in midterm.

    In the chapter 3- part 2 video discussion I learned that Sir Robert Peel is the
    one who introduce the Metropolitan Police Service or also known as the father of

    modern policing system. He was appointed as Home Secretary in the year of 1822
    the similarity of home secretatry here in our country are the department secretaries
    or the DILG Secretary. Because of his determination to develop the police system of
    his country he created the Metropolitan Police he unified the police system in
    England. I learned that Metropolitan Police Service or MPS was the largest police
    force in the United Kingdom and also considered as the finest police force in the
    world because of its national responsibility that no one else can do in other country.
    It also has different names it is also called as Met for short term. On the last part the
    discussion is all about the Agency Overview in this topic talked about the difference
    of the agencies in England and here in our country. That’s all that I learned in this
    discussion and I’m so greatful to know all this topic.
