Description Reporting to the Manager, the Sourcing Management Support Officer is accountable for
the management, facilitation, coordination and execution of a complete range of support services for
Procurement-to-Payment processes. The position is responsible to provide support to eProcurement
user, manage Sourcing Management master data, assess and resolve system inquiry requests
(SIR), support Tender Control, receive, validate and load all eCatalogue content, maintain master
data for Suppliers. This job requires a thorough understanding of Corporate and Procurement
policies, procedures, Trade Agreement and a familiarity with their interactions and impacts. Job
Responsibilities Below are the main job requirements and responsibilities for the Officer, Sourcing
Management Support: • Manage, resolve and/or redirect system inquiries (SIRs) from all corporate
wide management levels internal to CPC and all levels of suppliers • Plan and manage
recommended resolutions to system inquiries, and test and implement pilot processes and system
changes in accordance with scheduled system release packages • Identify and pursue areas of need
and opportunity for improvements in the Procurement-to-Payment process in terms of the SAP
modules (FI, MM, SRM, and e-catalogue), including both major enhancements and incremental
improvements to system configuration, work practices, activity sequences, tools and techniques •
Provide expert advice on the impact of system upgrades and configuration changes • Maintain
accurate records, assemble, analyze and compile information, statistics and reports, and cross-
reference all documents, ensuring data accuracy and integrity • Conduct quality reviews, verify
various reports, identify anomalies and ensure corrective actions are undertaken • Work
collaboratively with contracting authorities, suppliers and service providers to ensure that catalogue
content quality is high and error free Job Responsibilities (continued) • Provide expert guidance to
internal and external clients, and conduct negotiations with users, contracting authorities, suppliers
and Innovapost • Conduct quality and completeness reviews of catalogue content received from
vendors, load content into the CPC catalogue, liaise with suppliers and the contracting authority to
ensure new and revised content is available in a timely manner, and provide them with guidance on
content style and standards • Ensure the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of all inquiries to the
Sourcing Management Support Department including retrieving, modifying and writing appropriate
email responses to clients and suppliers, responding to and resolving written and phone inquiries,
identifying possible solutions and taking appropriate action to resolve situations while consistently
following corporate objectives, established standards, procedures, policies and principles of
business conduct • Execute the creation and maintenance of SM master data (vendor masters,
service masters, base merchandise categories, Buyer output determination, ecatalogue content) •
Ensure the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of data entry requests • Prepare and publish tenders
on internal and external websites • Work with Enterprise Information Security to identify appropriate
users of MM transactions and custom objects and maintain an overview of user profiles, plan and
execute security profile tests to ensure that access to sensitive transactions is restricted to the
appropriate users, and assess the impact of granting security access • Act as a procurement subject
matter expert for the applicable client function and apply organizational awareness and knowledge of
CP products, services, and processes to achieve service excellence Qualifications Education • Post
secondary education in Business, Finance, Procurement OR Secondary Level Education combined
with extensive relevant experience. Experience • Minimum 2 – 4 years’ experience working with SAP
modules (FI, MM, SRM and ecatalogue) • 2 years of managing and maintaining a large database of
master data within an integrated system. • Experience with internal controls related to master data. •
Experience working on multiple priorities/tasks simultaneously Other Candidate Requirements •
