3) Business Analyst
Under the general supervision of the Relationship Management Manager to perform the activities involved in proactively identifying process improvement and technology needs of the business area, gathering and documenting business requirements for application enhancements and/or new applications, serving as liaison between the business area and the Information Systems (IS) Division. EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Customer Technical Advice & Guidance--Technology point of contact with assigned business
area explaining, interpreting and enforcing policies and procedures, negotiating solutions to complex problems and disseminating technical information. Provides technical advice and guidance to assigned business area such as agency information systems planning, determination of technology components and evaluation of agency service delivery. Acts as technical resource to users of systems within assigned business area and facilitates process improvement discussions with customer and/or project teams. 2. Requirements Gathering & Documentation--Facilitates meetings and/or design sessions to validate, prioritize, and document specific requirements for application enhancements and/or new development. Works with the user team, the project team, the quality assurance team, and the development team to create documentation suitable for their use. including process diagrams, UML models, use cases, business, functional, and non-functional requirements. 3. Process Improvement & Workflow Management--Proactively gather information regarding business processes for review and analysis by a Process Improvement team. Create documentation, and diagrams to assist in the analysis of a process. Develop the workflow to integrate and automate the defined solution.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a B.S. in Information Systems, or Computer Science and a minimum of 3 years working as a business analyst, systems analysis, systems training, systems design, technical support, applications programming, network design, or telecommunications design. Experience leading, supervising, consulting, directing or managing the process involved in planning and implementing new information systems, planning and integrating new technologies into existing systems. Or, A (B.A.) in Accounting, Business Administration, or Management with 6 years of work experience in the areas listed above. Business Analysis certifications such as the Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) are highly recommended. Criminal background check and social security number trace is required for this position. 5) IT Business Analyst
We currently have an opening for a Business Analyst. This position will be responsible for facilitating business change management and process design by developing detailed business requirements and process flow diagrams. The business analyst will be involved in a large program implementation of a new broking application across North America and will responsible for data migration, system integration and deployment to the end user base. The business analyst will also support the client throughout the project lifecycle to help realize business benefits and will define functional requirements for systems projects which will translate them into profitable businesses solutions. The candidate would work closely with end users, business units, and other IT resources in all stages of project life cycle, including investigation, ROI/payback analysis, design, testing, and implementations to ensure business requirements are successfully implemented. This individual should demonstrate the highest levels of customer service, technical knowledge, productivity, and professionalism. This is a hands-on position requiring strong analyst skills, project management experience, and technical and business expertise. Possibility of up to 25% travel to our domestic offices may be required depending on the demands of individual initiatives and there is the possibility of international travel to other locations on an as needed basis.
Specific Duties
Responsible for partnering with business/user group representatives to understand business processes and underlying informational and/or process automation needs, then translating those needs into formal, documented business requirements following methodologies and processes. Responsible for the data migration, system integration and deployment to the end user. Transition the documented business requirements into an actionable document by gaining approval from the business/user group so as to facilitate the development of accurate functional specifications. Support overall coordination between all involved parties, using project management skills and techniques. Initiate and monitor all change requests from business so as to ensure timely and accurate dispositions. Coordinate user acceptance testing and signoff Defines business needs, detailed requirements and project scope and ensures timely closure on the initial requirements phase of projects Works with business to analyze initiatives, build business cases, provide cost/benefit analysis, project measurement objectives, identifying business staffing requirements for IT projects and owners of the business benefits Recommendations on appropriate business user training

Requirements
