Bloom’s Taxonomy Level(s):

☒ Remembering ☒ Understanding ☒ Applying ☒ Analyzing ☒ Evaluating ☒ Creating

Levels of Technology Integration:

☐ Infusion Level: Students may work at a higher Bloom’s Level, but they do not have any “Voice or Choice”
during the activity and most of the decisions are made by the teacher.

☒ Integration Level: We would like to see ALL lessons/activities reach this level. The project is student-
driven. Students have “Voice and Choice” in the activities, selecting the topic of study and determining the
technology tool to demonstrate mastery of the standard. The teacher becomes more of a facilitator.
☐ Expansion Level: The projects created are shared outside of the classroom, publishing student work and
promoting authorship. This could be reached by showcasing the project on the school’s morning
newscast, posting the project to the classroom blog, or publishing via an outside source.

Goal: My students will be able to identify and describe various shapes inside and/or outside of the classroom.
Lesson idea and implementation: The students will be answering the questions from the e-book and the
teachers will observe the students to make sure that they are responding to the questions, from the digital
book, correctly. I will introduce the project by having them listen to a song about shapes. To prepare students
to design their product of learning, I will give them a walk-through of what to do, kind of like a tutorial. To
extend the student’s learning to a higher level, I plan on asking encouraging questions that will get the
students thinking. I will conclude the lesson by taken the children around the school and having each one spot
a shape and I will provide feedback by telling them that they got the shape correct and if not, I will tell them
and give them another chance to get it right.
Universal Design for Learning (UDL): This activity will enhance the learning experience for children in the
classroom because using technology can be another way of how the children learn. As a teacher you do not
want to just lecture to the students, so doing this tactic is good idea for them. This activity will also help
support the UDL framework because it creates an inclusive atmosphere for all children. One other thing is
that the teachers can make the students feel motivated.
Reflective Practice: For this lesson, I am looking forward to incorporating songs in the lesson because that will
help with the children’s memory. I do believe that I will face some challenges and I will get passed them by
staying calm and talking through it without frustration.
