Bloom’s Taxonomy Level(s):

☐ Remembering ☒ Understanding ☐ Applying ☐ Analyzing ☐ Evaluating ☐ Creating

Levels of Technology Integration:

☒ Infusion Level: Students may work at a higher Bloom’s Level, but they do not have any “Voice or Choice”
during the activity and most of the decisions are made by the teacher.

☐ Integration Level: We would like to see ALL lessons/activities reach this level. The project is student-
driven. Students have “Voice and Choice” in the activities, selecting the topic of study and determining the
technology tool to demonstrate mastery of the standard. All products of learning are unique and
personalized. The teacher becomes more of a facilitator walking around monitoring the student-led
activity.
☐ Expansion Level: The projects created are shared outside of the classroom, publishing student work and
promoting authorship. This could be reached by showcasing the project on the school’s morning
newscast, posting the project to the classroom blog, or publishing via an outside source.

Universal Design for Learning (UDL):

I have selected PowerPoint Presentation as my technology tool for this lesson plan in doing this I have given
students many ways to learn the content. The main way being that students can view the slide as many times
as they would like to as well as pace themselves in their learning to ensure a deep understanding before they
change slides. PowerPoint also assists ELLs within the classroom by providing subtitles that can be translated
to any language that is needed.

Lesson idea implementation:

“Class I may be cool, but you know what is cooler than me? Counting!” I will then introduce the standard with
this PowerPoint by having the students only count to five. This overall paving the way to counting to 100
eventually. As an option for the students, they can work in groups if they wish and then share with the
teacher once they have an answer. Within the small groups, they will look at the image to be able to help
determine the amount within the picture. As they are determining the answers needed for the slides, they
will also be creating a counting book that will later be extended once they reach ten.

Reflective Practice:
The students will only be creating this first counting book from 1-10, however this activity can be extended
through then working with tens to reach 100. Throughout the creation of this book as a class, we could post
our final counting book and create an e-book that can be posted on Class Dojo for parents and guardians to

see. This counting book is provided as an opportunity for the students to review and use for other subjects.
