INQUIRIES, INVESTIGATION AND IMMERSION
GRADE LEVEL: 12
TEACHER: CARL JEJE S. QUIAMJOT
TEACHING DATE: January 20, 2020

I. OBJECTIVES:
A. Learner’s Activity the learner formulates clearly the statement of the problem
B. Teacher’s Activity the teacher gives feedback or comments on progress achieved by the learner
C. Learning Competency the learner builds a conceptual framework by identifying the variables and their
relationships.

II. SUBJECT MATTER:

A. MATERIALS: TV for video presentation, Flash drive for storing files for video presentation and PowerPoint
presentation, Manila paper for presentation of analysis.
B. TOPIC: CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK
C. REFERENCES: K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum, SimplyEducate.me Regoniel, PATRICK January 15, 2015

III. PROCEDURE:
A. PRE-ACTIVITY:
1. REVIEW: Questions:
What is a background of the problem?
How would you start writing the background of the problem?
Why is there a need to study the background of the problem under study?

2. MOTIVATION: Video Analysis. Questions:

What can you say about the video?
How do you think the investigators planned out their investigation?
Explain the trace up process.

ON YOUR OUTPUT NOTEBOOK, CREATE A CONCEPTUAL

B. ACTIVITY FRAMEWORK FOR THE GIVEN TITLE:

“AWARENESS OF THE GRADE 12 STUDENTS ON SCHOOL RULES

AND REGULATIONS”

Criteria:
Connection and relevance of variables 10pts
Organization and neatness 10pts
TOTAL 20pts

C. ANALYSIS CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK

The conceptual framework is the researcher’s understanding of how the particular variables in the study
connect with each other.
It identifies the variables required on the research investigation. It is the researcher’s “map” in pursuing the
investigation.
GUIDE ON HOW TO MAKE THE CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK
1. Choose your topic - decide on what will be you research topic
2. Do a literature review – review the relevant and updated research on the topic.
3. Isolate the important variables – identify the variables and figure out how these are related
4. Generate the Conceptual Framework – build your conceptual framework using your mix of variables

D. ABSTRACTION Questions:
How would you describe a conceptual framework?
What would a researcher call a conceptual framework?
How would you create a conceptual framework?
E. APPLICATION Questions:
How would you identify the connection among the variables in your research?
How do you think cause and effect relationship will help you in connecting the variables?
What would be the best order of elements in the framework?

IV. EVALUATION: Create a conceptual framework for the following research title.
“Effects of television and mobile phones to the reading comprehension of the grade 7 students”

Note: do it on your output notebook.

Criteria: Connection and relevance of variables 10pts
Organization and neatness 10pts
TOTAL 20pts

V. ASSIGNMENT: What is a hypothesis? Write your answer on your output notebook
