MY PERSONAL CODE OF ETHICS

We all have a personal code of ethics that we follow. This code of conduct is formed in
our experiences and relationship with others as we grew up into adults. Having a personal code
of ethics is very crucial to me as it defines who I really am. These ethical codes symbolize who I
am as an individual as a result of my moral, religious, intellectual and cultural upbringing. Listed
bellow are my personal code of ethics.
1. Make God the center of my life.
When we seek God and make Him the center of our lives, no matter how hard life is,
no matter how many challenges that comes your way, and no matter how dark our paths are,
He will always be there to lead the right way and help you overcome those. All we need is to
trust in God and always pray for His guidance, love and protection.
2. I will always honor and love my parents.
As what my late mother taught me, always be grateful to the parents. Respect and love
them, as I will not be who I am today, if not because of them.
3. Every life matter.
No matter what race, young or old, poor or rich, sick or healthy, always remember to
treat everyone fairly and with respect cause every life matters.
4. Be generous to others.
For me, generosity goes beyond a wealthy person giving charitable donations such as
money or expensive gifts to the less fortunate. I believe being generous to me, is merely buying
food for the beggars in the street, or giving the last piece of your food to the dog that has not
eaten yet. I believe that if we can be cheerful givers, then we could help those who are in great
needs.
5. Always abide the law or rules of the country.
As a citizen in this country, I will always follow the rules regardless of the consequences
that I may face.
6. Learn to be grateful of the people who have helped you succeed and always
remain humble.
This reminds me to always keep my feet on the ground no matter how many
achievements and success I have gained. If we aspire to be someone or achieve something far
greater, we must always remember not to forget our roots.
7. Always ask forgiveness to whom you offended or hurt and learn to forgive to the
people who offended you.
I will never let the day passed without asking forgiveness to the people whom I have
offended. I will talk to him or her immediately and apologize. If ever someone has offended me,
just like what my mother taught me, always find in my heart to forgive no matter how big or
small his fault maybe. In this way, I could be at ease and have a peaceful mind. Afterall,
forgiveness is the key to happiness
