Conduct competency assessment

Good morning everyone! I am Nitz Vanessa A. Quimbo accredited certified assessor for bookkeeping NC
III. My role as the assessor is to observe and to collect evidences during assessment to determine
whether you are competent or not yet competent .
Welcome to Villamor College of Business & Arts, Inc. We have practical work area (workstations) where
your skills and knowledge are test. The holding area where you can stay after the assessment because
after written tests, one by one you will be called to assessment area for oral interview and feedback of
the results.
I would like to acknowledge the presence of Mrs. Rachel Penanueva our tesda officer, Ms. May Ann
Babaran our AC manager and Mrs. Myrla Labajo our processing officer. Candidates, you do not have to
worry about their presence for they will not be assessing you instead they are here to oversee and check
if the conduct of competency assessment is in accordance with the prescribed competency assessment
methodology and procedures.

me your admission slip and your valid id if your name is called and please do sign the attendance sheet.

I have here with me your application form and your self assessment guide since you’ve checked all the
yes part meaning you can perform all the unit of competency.
Once again welcome to our assessment center for bookkeeping NC III. It is a project type meaning if you
have failed to passed either one of the competency under this qualification, you will have another set of
assessment process again.
The unit of competencies includes basic, common, and core competencies. The Core competencies are
the following
Journalize transactions
Posting transactions
Prepare trial balance
Prepare financial reports
Review internal control system

I will be colleting evidences through written test and oral interview. The assessment method to be used
are written test and oral interview. For you to be competent you need to pass all the Unit of
Competency. If not then you are not yet competent.
For your personal needs, the comfort room is located at my left corner. The canteen is located at the
ground floor. Be reminded that you cannot leave this premises as we start the assessment.
When you have difficulty to understand the instructions please do not hesitate to call my attention so
that I can help you by translating it to Filipino nor Bisaya.
As we start our assessment kindly put all your bags and belongings to the cabinet and turn off all your
cellphones so that it will not disturb during the assessment. All I can see in your table is calculator and
your pencil.
After the assessment if you are not satisfied with the result you have the right to appeal, you can write a
letter duly notarized to the AC manager or if you are still not contended you can submit a letter to the
TESDA provincial office located at Aparente St., or to the regional office at Koronadal City or still if not to
the national office at Taguig City.
If you are competent from the result you may claim your CARS (Competency Assessment Result
Summary) to the AC Manager after 5 working days. Then you can proceed to the Tesda provincial office
for the issuance of your national certificate. Bring 2 passport size, white background with collar shirt and
200 for your certificate.
If your result is not yet competent you can re-assessment anytime at your own convenience. If you
failed again do not worry because now it is allowed to have an unlimited take.
Regarding your result, we will make sure the confidentiality of the results because we like to secure your
integrity. You can ask your result to the authorized personnel and to the institution where you can
conduct your training. All the assessment packages are also secured. Please refrain from any forms of
information that took place during the assessment process.
Now, let’s proceed to workstation so that you can have your written test. I will be observing you during
the written test. You’re given 5 hours to finish the written test. Once you are done, kindly proceed to
holding area because one by one you will be called for an oral interview. (Demo checklist)
