This is the RMO Assessment Package. (I Received the assessment package by the
TESDA Representative: 10 Application Form, Self-assessment Guide, Specific
Instruction, Competency Assessment Result Summary, Rating Sheet, 4 Attendance
Sheets and 1 Assessor’s Guide)
2. AKNOWLEDGEMENT
Do not worry about their presence because they are here to oversee the conduct of the
competency assessment and to check if the conduct is in accordance with the prescribed
competency assessment, methodology and procedures. They will no assess you.
Before I start, let me first check the attendance. As I call your name please raise your
hand, come in front and present to me your admission slips and consent form then affix your
signature in this attendance sheet. Take note your number in the attendance sheet because
that will serve as your arrangement in the conduct of this assessment.
Name of 1st and 2nd candidate (look in the eye, compare the signature on the admission
slip and attendance sheet and assigned their numbers)
I have here with me your accomplished application form and self-assessment guide. So,
this is an indication that you know and can perform all the unit of competencies enumerated
in Food and Beverage Services NC II.
This is our assessment center, everything you need are all provided, tools/instruments,
supplies and materials and equipment are all here at the assessment area. The purpose of
this assessment is to determine the level of competency.
6. QUALIFICATIONS OR UNITS OF COMPETENCY TO BE ASSESSED
The different task that you are going to demonstrate or perform in Food and Beverage
Services NC II are:
1. Table Napkin – 10 minutes
2. Table Reservation- 15 minutes
3. Table Set-up – 30 minutes
4. Telephone Reservation -5 minutes
5. Room Service – 30 minutes
With the total of 2 HOURS and I will gather these evidences through direct observation
and demonstration with oral questioning.
To determine your knowledge and skills in Food and Beverage Services NC II, the
assessment method to be used are observation and demonstration with oral questioning. This
assessment method can help to measure your underpinning knowledge and skills.
For your personal needs and necessity, the restroom is located at the back of this
building and you may take your snack at the canteen, located beside. But once the
assessment started, you are not allowed to leave the premises of this assessment center.
If you encounter some terms that you are not familiar with, feel free to approach me
and I am willing to translate it in your dialect. Same is true with the instruction, I will translate
it verbally. Do not worry, you will be all treated equally.
1. If you have questions or clarifications concerning the assessment, you may raise it
now. Once the assessment started, refrain from asking questions. It is no longer allowed.
2. In the same token during the assessment, if you have physical or any form of
difficulties do not hesitate to call my attention, so that we can address it immediately.
3. Wear your appropriate PPE for each unit of competency at all times and observe
body mechanics.
4. In case of accidents, please immediately call my attention to give you first aid.
5. Taking photos of the specific instructions is not allowed. Leave you phone and don’t
bring your bag with you so that you can perform the task well.
6. We observe strict confidentiality when it comes with the assessment results. This is
to ensure the integrity of the assessment. Please refrain from giving away any form of
information that took place during the assessment.
In any case you have any questions regarding the assessment result, please tell me
immediately.
If you don’t have any questions or clarifications then I am going to distribute the
specific of instructions, please read it carefully and do not hesitate to ask questions right now
and I may be able to translate it from English to your local dialect, if you need assistance then
I am more than willing to assist you. (GIVE SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS)
All the materials, supplies and PPE needed are located in the tool room. You may get it
now.
So, everybody must be ready now, candidate 1 you may proceed to the assessment
area. The flow of this assessment is one at a time or right after the other. For the other
candidates, please remain in the waiting area and wait for your turn to be called.
Candidate no. 1, this is the assessment area where you’re going to perform Table
Napkin Folding for 10 minutes. If you have any question, please ask now because once the
assessment started, you can no longer ask me any question. If none, you may start. Time
started at 8:00 so you must finish at 8:10.

18. FEEDBACKING
With regards to the result of the assessment, like I said earlier we observe
confidentiality. If you are not satisfied with the result, you have the right to appeal.
