The Associazione will award three Prizes (1st, 2nd and 3rd) to the finalists.
We will be accepting registrations from June 2nd, 2021 until September 15th, 2021.
First prize winners from past editions are not allowed to enter the Competition.
2. Application
1) A professional CV;
Please comply with the following instructions regarding the video content:
The video must not be edited in any way after its shoot in order to deliver an
authentic live performance. Artists must be filmed with a fixed camera and
montage within a complete work in not admissible.
Participants need to upload the video for private access on online platforms
such as Youtube using the “Unlisted” option, Vimeo, Dropbox, Google Drive or
others and obtain an internet link to insert in the application form.
A maximum of 15 duos will be allowed to compete based on the profiles and the
video submitted. Applicants will be notified regarding their admission no later than
October 2nd, 2021.
3. Fees
The competition entry fee of 50 euros per duo is payable via wire transfer to
Associazione Culturale “Annarosa Taddei” via the following bank details:

When making the wire transfer please, specify the full names of the candidates and
the duo category (eg. John Smith & Victoria Francis, Cello and Piano).
The wire transfer has to be made by September 15th 2021 and is non-refundable.
4. Competition Rules
The Associazione will provide the participants with a schedule on when they can use
the Auditorium for practice.
In compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), all data provided
at the time of registration will be protected by the Association and will only be used
internally for communication with the candidates.
5. Competition Rounds
Musicians are required to send a link to a private video performance in which they
play a program of their choice. The performance must be of at least 20 minutes
long. For piano and voice duos only original chamber repertoire is admitted.
Therefore, transcriptions from the operatic repertoire are excluded.
All videos will be evaluated by the first jury. The 15 duos with the highest score from
the Preliminary Round will be admitted to the First Round and notified by October
2nd, 2021.
Competition Round 1 - November 22nd-23rd, 2021 10:00 a.m.
(Accademia Filarmonica Romana, Sala Casella, Rome, 118, Via Flaminia)
The program is free, however it must include a composition published after 1950
chosen by the candidates. Only original chamber repertoire is admitted. Therefore,
transcriptions from the operatic repertoire are excluded.
In the Competition Final, each duo will perform in a free 50 minutes program as
indicated hereunder. This Recital may include pieces already presented in previous
rounds for a maximum duration of 15 minutes.
PIANO AND VIOLIN DUO
Prizes will be awarded based on the total score achieved in the Final Round alone.
Scores from previous rounds will not be taken into consideration for the awarding of
the prizes.
The three finalist duos will be awarded the “Premio Annarosa Taddei” as follows:
Musical rounds may be recorded (audio and video) for broadcast (live or not).
All recorded material derived from the competition is Intellectual Property of the
Association. Participants cannot claim any fees from any material produced
throughout the competition, at any time in the future.
Winners of the competition are required to attend the eventual closing Award
Ceremony.
7. Jury
The juries are composed of eminent Italian and International musicians as well as
established music professors.
The juries will provide a score out of 100 points. Their decisions are final.
