I. At the end of lesson the pupils are expected to:

a. Recognize the harmony in music.

b. Classify and name the hand signal in harmony

c. Explain and state the important of rhythm.

Materials: Lyrics songs of “Are you sleeping”, “Row, row, your boat” and “Far health and
strength”.

Very good! They are Do, Re, Mi, So and La.

What about the hand signal? Can you

B. Developmental Activity
Our lesson for today is all about of
harmony.

What is harmony, Eunecy? Harmony is the singing is combination of


simultaneously sounded musical notes to
produce a pleasing effect and create a full
sound.

Let us sing it first. Yes teacher.

What did you notice to the notes of Are you sleeping, are you sleeping, brother
each syllable, Angela? John……

Very good! I noticed that on every syllable there is


corresponding notes.
What are the measures of those notes,

Very good! There are half note eight notes and quarter
notes.
How many syllable in quarter notes,
Marlene?

Very good! There is one syllable in quarter notes.

How about in eight notes, Christy Joy?

Very good!
There is also one syllable in eight notes.
How many syllables in half notes,
Leah?

Very good! The same as quarter and eight notes.
