Bloom’s Taxonomy Level(s):

X Remembering X Understanding X Applying ☐ Analyzing ☐ Evaluating ☐ Creating

Levels of Technology Integration:

☐ Infusion Level: Students may work at a higher Bloom’s Level, but they do not have any “Voice or Choice”
during the activity and most of the decisions are made by the teacher.

X Integration Level: We would like to see ALL lessons/activities reach this level. The project is student-driven.
Students have “Voice and Choice” in the activities, selecting the topic of study and determining the
technology tool to demonstrate mastery of the standard. All products of learning are unique and
personalized. The teacher becomes more of a facilitator walking around monitoring the student-led
activity.
☐ Expansion Level: The projects created are shared outside of the classroom, publishing student work and
promoting authorship. This could be reached by showcasing the project on the school’s morning newscast,
posting the project to the classroom blog, or publishing via an outside source.

Universal Design for Learning (UDL): The powerpoint and voice over will allow children to hear and see the
content. There are a variety of animals in the story that will keep the children engaged, and the story
encourages the children to count and demonstrate their comprehension of the content material.

Lesson idea implementation: I will review numbers 1-10 with the students using manipulatives. I will then
read the book and have the students count the animals in the story. The students will then be able to create
their own book and will be encouraged to draw objects of their choice that correspond with the numbers
1-10. students who are advanced can continue on to numbers 1-20. They will then have the opportunity to
turn and talk with their neighbor about the numbers and objects in the book.

Reflective Practice: I could post the activity on the classroom blog and encourage parents to make at home
stories or encourage counting at home.
