Evidence: Job interview

Imagine you are applying for a new job. Below you will find some common job
interview questions. For this evidence, you have to record yourself while you
answer them. Dress up. Look professional. Pay attention to your body language.
Show you really want to get that job. Remember to use the grammar structures
and vocabulary you have practiced within this learning activity.

1. If you could start your career over again, what would you do differently?
Answer: The different way to start my professional career, would be studying civil
engineering at the university, and I would try harder to study than to spend it
with my friends

2. During your performance reviews, what criticism do you hear the most?
Answer: Although I have received criticism for the start time and overtime, the
company wants one to be before the start time and stay later than the start time
for which in building job it is heavy

3. Tell me about your last position?


Answer: In my last job, I was an assistant to a builder teacher, where we
remodelled a house.

4. What is your work philosophy?


Answer: Kindness, responsibility, quality, perfectionism, performance, integrity.

5. How have you changed professionally speaking in the last two years?
Answer: Every time my work experience increases, and I have greater knowledge
of my profession, and learned a lot, since I was a child
6. Tell me about the best manager you have ever had.
Answer: Actually, in my work I met several super great managers, including my
first boss at Muisca Constructions Genaro Vargas, a good guy, who tried me
out, and was promoted because my good work performance

7. What were the most memorable accomplishments in your last position?


Answer: For me, each job is an immense achievement, but to be promoted in a
company to positions of greater authority in administrative positions is the best

8. Why do you want to leave your current job?


Answer: I have work since 2009 in construction of buildings for more of 11 years,
and I want to have a new start, in something lighter where I can also contribute
whit mi knowledge and attitudes

9. In your previous position, how much time did you spend learning how to do
things better?
Answer: Since 2012, when I left school until today, I have studied and certified
through SENA learning the technical standards of Colombia for construction of
building

10. If you’re very happy with your current job, why do you want to leave?
Answer: Because of new personal challenges and a break for my body.
