SUMMARY OF THE TRAINING

The “Stress Management Strategies in dealing with Online Class” was held on April 12,
3:00 PM. Three topics are presented: a.) Online Class-Induced Stress b.) Characteristics that an
individual should develop in order to avoid/reduce stress as a result of online education; and c.)
Strategies for dealing with or managing stress. Each topic was addressed by one speaker, with
Ms. Frenzy Haling leading the discussion on “Stress Brought by Online Class,” Mr. Christian
Sarzata discussing Traits to be Acquired by an Individual to Avoid Stress, and Mr. Neil Lentejas
discussing Strategies to Properly Handle or Manage Stress.

This webinar was held in order to convey knowledge, particularly to students, and to
make us aware of the tension that we face in online classes, as well as stress management
measures. Before that, Ms. Myla Gabiana makes an opening statement and discusses the
subject of their Group Topic. The first issue mentioned by Frenzy Haling is Stress Caused by
Online Class, which was presented as one of the primary issues in the webinar. According to the
webinar, stress is a sort of change that creates physical, emotional, or psychological pressure.
Stress is the body's reaction to anything that necessitates its attention or action. The causes and
effects of stress caused by online classes were also examined. Stress causes us to have heavy
academic burdens, poor time management, financial problems, and it also causes headaches,
anxiety, depression, insomnia, and other symptoms. We are all aware that the issue of Stress
Caused by Online Class is still prevalent; according to one survey, 75% of college students
reported feeling more anxious as a result of online learning. With only 4% of institutions fully
reopening their doors to in-person instruction for the fall semester, online school has made this
emotional stress the norm for the majority of students.

Mr. Christian Sarzata presents the second topic, Traits to be gained by an individual to
avoid/lessen stress due to online classes. Issues such as stress due to online classes are well
known to us college students. The crucial traits for an individual to acquire in order to
avoid/reduce stress caused by an online class are responsibility, adaptability, and bravery. Being
responsible means keeping pledges and honoring commitments by fulfilling your obligations,
being consistent and sticking to a schedule, and overcoming procrastination. At the end of the

subtopic, there is a quote by Bryan Dorgan who says, "You can transfer authority, but you
cannot outsource responsibility." Next is Adaptive, which means being adaptable and eager to
learn new ways to do things by Embracing Learning, Changing Thought Processes, and, most
importantly, Stop Complaining. At the end of the subtopic, there is a quote by Charles Darwin, "It
is not the strongest or the most intelligent who will survive, but those who can best handle
change." Last but not least is courage, which is being willing to face and suffer pain, as in
whatever you do, don't give up, and exceed your expectations, to quote Nelson Mandela. “I
discovered that courage was not the absence of fear, but rather the triumph over it. The brave
guy is not one who is not scared, but one who overcomes that fear.” In the webinar, the key
ideas were recounted of what attributes an individual should acquire in order to avoid/reduce
stress, as well as the quotations of each Philosopher in order for a person to be able to push
towards its aims or destination.

Mr. Neil Lentejas's final topic of discussion in the webinar was Strategies to appropriately
handle or manage stress. Too much stress might be harmful to our health. It can have an impact
on both physical and emotional health. It is also incredibly personal: different people find
different situations stressful, and different coping strategies may be more or less effective for
them. Mr. Neil Lentejas gives a wide range of tools and approaches for stress management in
this topic, which may provide some beneficial tips. These are as follows: Identify the stressors in
your life. Stress management begins with identifying the stressors in your life. Use the four A's of
stress management. 4A's The first three A's stand for Avoid Necessary, Learn to Say "No,"
Avoid People Who Stress You Out, Take Control of Your Environment, and Pare Down Your To-
Do List. The second A is that you should change the situation. Instead of keeping your emotions
bottled up, express them. Make a balanced schedule and be open to compromise. The third A is
Adapt Stressor, which requires you to Reframe Problems, Adjust Your Standards, and Practice
Gratitude. Last but not least, accept what you can't alter, such as not attempting to control the
uncontrollable, look for the positive, learn to forgive, and share your feelings. Deep Breathing,
stopping and taking a few deep breaths can immediately relieve stress. Working out on a daily
basis is one of the finest methods to calm your body and mind. Make time for enjoyment and
relaxation; anticipating activities that you enjoy helps to relieve stress and keeps you
psychologically healthy. Spending meaningful time with another individual who makes you feel
comfortable and understood is more calming than connecting with others. Make a list of
everything you need to do and arrange it in order of true priority. Eating a healthy, well-balanced

diet will make you feel better generally In the final category, a quick break might help you
recuperate and get back to work more productivity.

The main purpose of these kinds of seminars is to gain knowledge and information, but
also to make it possible to apply it to one's daily life in the case of tension, sadness, stress, and
anxiety because they are caused by these themes. Online Class is proof of what our troubles if
we endure stress in life. It is important that we are prepared for anything that we experience in
the online classroom, including stress, and we should not shy away from a stressful course. Last
but not least, stress management stress must be accounted for and learn to cope with the stress
caused by online class Not losing to stress as aces in coping with the Online Class will serve as
a reminder that we should not Pause, take a break, enjoy life, go slow, and walk outside for a
change of pace.

PART II
REFLECTION/REACTION

The country will be locked down because of Covid-19 being rendered inoperable due to
restrictions. hence, thus, the education institutes elected to provide online classes with no
advance notice, pupils were removed from the premises and all together. They expected to keep
their grades and themselves healthy without missing a beat. Surprisingly, the stress from online
learning might contribute to low overall performance, such as in all subjects. Our cognitive
flexibility is more crucial now than ever. After the webinar, the speakers described the meaning
of stress, as well as strategies for minimizing it, also the attributes students might acquire in
order to decrease it

The rise in our stress levels due to Covid-19 is just exacerbates an already-existing
problem For students, this might lead to effects on their psychological well-being insecurities as
well. Loneliness and social isolation are negatively related to both in the first place, and with
online learning, where students learn with no connection with friends or classmates. Increased
workload, such as the Zoom, Google Meet, and other Google Classroom video conferenct
technology comes with the requirement. Staring at a screen all day, lack of good posture, or
glare may cause physical strain. Finally, in the last place, it is changes in instructional
assistance, which is made possible by being in the classroom. There are no two-one-one
interactions on-hand interactions since we only use module and always copy answers from their
peers in which means some students will not understand anything

I am one of those people who enjoy reading diverse articles that discusses current topics
such as this It fills me with excitement to discover fresh information on this issue, but it's nice to
make others as well. It was students' personal experiences in various media that alerted us to
the effect on their psyches, and helped them become better prepared to battle against it. This
webinar helped me understand the advantages of taking online classes, encourages me to be
accountable for my work, and reflects my behavior on others. Students can also learn about the
effect of stress on the mind, as well as the cause of stress in a web-based classes. Lecturing
students online on the subject of stress management is important, because it teaches them more
and offers new strategies The more you learn about this topic, the more you will understand
what it has to tell you.

While watching the webinar, the student learned how the importance of cause and effect
of online classes in psychology was explored with great complexity, and thoroughness.
Additionally, students must work on their Traits to minimize stress and deal with people that have
these Traits. Additionally, the issue has a lot of information regarding the impact and coping
mechanisms of using the internet has helped make the audience more aware of their own life.
