Semi- Detailed Lesson Plan in English 4

I. Objectives

a) Identify the degrees of comparison of adjectives.


b) Use each degree of comparison of adjectives in a sentence.
c) Write the correct form of adjectives to complete the sentences.

III. Procedure
A. Pre – Activity

2. Greeting the Class

B. Review
 Review the class about the last lesson.
 Let the student to share their answer.

C. Motivation
 Group the class into 5 (five) groups.
 Ask a representative in each group.
 Ask each representative to stand in the front.
 Tell the class to compare each representative to each other.
 Ask the class about the activity and let the students to share their answer.

D. Presentation/Discussion

 Show three sets of picture to the class.


 Have the student to describe and compare each set of picture.
 Show the meaning of each degrees of comparison and discuss it in the class.

5. My house is bigger than yours.

F. Generalization

 What are the three degrees of comparison?


 What will you add in Positive Degree?
 How about in Comparative Degree?
 What wil you add in Superlative Degree?

IV. Evaluation

Fill in the blanks with the comparative or superlative degree of the italized adjective. Be
sure to spell the words correctly.

1. The weather is hot today, but yesterday was much than today.
2. Im mad at dishonest people and even at discourteous ones.
3. Why are you so thin? You are even now than you were last
month.
4. All the chickens in Mang Gary’s Poultry are fat. The chicken in
the brood are the first to be sold.
5. Julia’s watermelons are big. He picks out the one to give to his
visitors.

V. Assignment
