B. Establishing the
Purpose of the Lesson 1. Motivation
Do you know the game “Bring Me”, children?
Nice to hear that, class.
This morning we will be energized through this game but before you
will play, will you tell what are the things that you should remember when
having an activity?
(Setting of House Rules)
Now that you are familiar with our house rules, I want everybody to
listen carefully because you will not just play, but, you also need to earn
points because at the end of our lesson the one who earned the most
number of points will be given a reward.
Let us now begin with our game.
Are you ready, class?
Let’s get started then………
Bring me object that is found in your bag!
Bring me anything that is found under your desk!
Bring me anything that you see on my table!
Bring me a drawing of anything that you can see above the board!
(Let them have more things to bring emphasizing the prepositions
on, in, under and above)
Did you enjoy the game, children?
During the game class, some of you did not able to get prizes
because the winners are faster than you, how do you feel about it?
That only show that you have the spirit of sportsmanship.
And will you also tell why do you have to bring those things that are
found inside your bag everyday in going to school?
What else?
What attitude is being develop if you do this everyday even if your
bags are very heavy?
Is it good to possess those attitudes? Why? Why not?
I know because of that attitudes that you have you can be able to
fulfill your ambitions in life.
C. Presenting New Presentation
Examples/Instances I have here some sentences taken from the story that we read
yesterday, class.
(Always remind them of the House Rules)
Now, will you read the sentences and take note of the underlined
words.

a. Andy’s family loaded the cat in the car.

b. Andy was surprised when he saw Tubby in


his room.

c. Tubby slept on Andy’s bed.


d. Andy understood that when he wants to sleep on his
bed, he would get into it before Tubby could.

e. Andy put his cap on the hook above the mirror.

f. After a few days, Tubby started sleeping under Andy’s


bed.

Before I will give the mechanics of your activity, will you tell what

Here’s the direction. Each group will be presenting their output after
5minutes and for you to do that you have to choose your leader.

Group 1- You will draw situations showing the different prepositions that
you have learned and write sentences about each situation.

Group 2- Make a script. Have a dialogue using the prepositions in, on,
under and above.

Group 3- Think of any English song that you are familiar with. Write the
lyrics in a cartoline and underline all the prepositions used in it. Present
your output later by singing the song and by giving emphasis to your
answers by pointing to the prepositions used.

Pretend that you are going to promote our country’s beauty spots to
motivate tourists from different countries to visit our country. Remember to
use the prepositions in, on, under and above. Do this in a short bond
paper. To be passed during our Araling Panlipunan subject.
