POLYBATCH®

ASPA 2446
Masterbatch

Product Description
POLYBATCH® ASPA 2446 is an antistatic masterbatch for CPP/BOPP films produced on blown or stenter lines. POLYBATCH® ASPA 2446 can be
used in combination with slip masterbatches such as SPER 6 or KER 5. Containing only additives of high molecular weight, POLYBATCH® ASP 2446
has a low vapour pressure and will therefore generate little smoke at the die and in the TDO, resulting in fewer breaks caused by droplets.

Free flowing pellets, containing 12.5 percent antistatic agents in homopolymer PP, film grade.

Usage
In heat sealable films for HFF or VFF, the recommended addition rate is 1.5 to 2.5 percent POLYBATCH® ASPA 2446.
In plain films the migration speed is lower: a strong corona treatment (flame treatment is recommended) activates the antistatic properties.
Both homopolymer skins must contain at least 1200 ppm silica: 5 to 6 percent ABPP 02 for critical applications or 3 percent ABPP 05 for standard
applications.

In PEARLIZED films, where dirt pick-up can be spectacular, 2 to 3 percent POLYBATCH® ASPA 2446 added into the core will greatly reduce the
formation of dirt treeing.
Packaging & Storage
POLYBATCH® ASPA 2446 is packed in 20 or 25 Kg moisture proof bags, on stretch-wrapped 1,000 or 1,250 Kg pallets.
This masterbatch contains additives that migrate. POLYBATCH® ASPA 2446 can be stored up to maximum 6 months at 25°C for optimum performance.
Higher temperatures might reduce storage time considerably.
