It is about sensory experience, how something looks, sounds, shapes. Mostly it is about visual experience, but description also deals with other kinds of perception.
2. Descriptive Text - Things & places
Descriptive text is a meaningful text that describes and reveals particular thing or place. The purpose of the text to give a visual picture of a thing, such as my favourite books that describe specific books, or a picture of a tourism place, such as Komodo National Park by explaining its features, forms, types, location, or anything related to what the writer describes. The purpose of the descriptive text is clear, that is to describe, represent or reveal an object, either abstract or concrete.
3. Report Text - Classifying report &
compositional report Report text is a text which presents information about something. The term report text is also known as information report. Report texts organize our experiences of the world for us; they are used to record, organise, and storeinformation relating to categories of things The purpose of the text is to organise and describe a field or topic into a class and subclass hierarchy. Moreover, it can be used to organise and describe a field or topic according to its part (a part or whole part). A technology report (e.g. electric cars) will have lots of information describing a general explanation of how they work and come into parts of cars (that is called an compositional report).
