sections of this specification is not implied. Exposure to absolute maximum rating NC = NO CONNECT
conditions for extended periods may affect device reliability.
Figure 1 shows the response of the ADXL202 to the Earth’s
Drops onto hard surfaces can cause shocks of greater than 1000 g gravitational field. The output values shown are nominal. They
and exceed the absolute maximum rating of the device. Care are presented to show the user what type of response to expect
should be exercised in handling to avoid damage. from each of the output pins due to changes in orientation with
respect to the Earth. The ADXL210 reacts similarly with out-
put changes appropriate to its scale.

CAUTION
ESD (electrostatic discharge) sensitive device. Electrostatic charges as high as 4000 V readily
accumulate on the human body and test equipment and can discharge without detection. WARNING!
Although the ADXL202/ADXL210 features proprietary ESD protection circuitry, permanent
damage may occur on devices subjected to high energy electrostatic discharges. Therefore, proper
ESD SENSITIVE DEVICE
ESD precautions are recommended to avoid performance degradation or loss of functionality.
