II. COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Physical Education 2 course design to introduce the Japanese Martial Arts practice long ago soon practice by millions of people around the world. Karate-do one of the
popular Martial Arts in the globe which aims to understand the discipline and learnings in Karate and its history way back 100 years ago. This course also tackles the basic
ethics and etiquette, fundamentals skills, principle and history of Karate-do. To equip the students to defense their self for unexpected situation the application of the said
course is not to hurt someone but to protect their self. To develop their physical, mental, social and emotional aspect in life. Also to understand the learnings of karate-do
the way of life.

III. COURSE OBJECTIVES:


At the end of the trimester, students are expected to:
a. understand the history of karate-do;
b. know their capacity in terms of self-protection in time of danger;
c. develop their physical, mental, social and emotional aspect of life;
d. identify the different equipment and facilities;
e. execute the basic striking, kicking and blocking and the application of Karate-do.
