Lesson Title: ARNIS: Fundamental Skills and Stance with Traditional Forms of Striking Techniques.
I. Learning Objectives at the end of the lesson, should be able to:

1.. Know the Basic Classical Strikes in Arnis


2.. Can perform strikes in Arnis.
3. Can perform the different stance in ARNIS
Lesson Preview:
1. Give 5 exercise that can help in the skills of ARNIS.
● Stationary Jogging for 30 seconds-1 minute
● Jumping Jack for 1 minute
● Neck Rotation
● Arm rotation
● Wrist rotation

2. What is warm up exercise?


● It prevents injuries by loosening your joints, and improving blood flow to your muscles making your muscles less likely to rip,
tear, or twist in a harmful way during your workout. Stretching also helps prepare your muscles for the physical activities you’re
about to perform.

II. Lecture and Discussions of the Lesson/s


A. Fundamental Skills and Stances in Arnis

● Hand Grip: Proper Hold of Stick


- Hold the stick one fist away from the punyo (butt) of the stick. Close the grip with the thumb.

● The Courtesy Bow: Empty handed / Single Baston / Double Baston


- Stand facing each other
- Hold the sticks at the end
- Bow your head from the neck and return to position
- Extend your righthand sideward right with the stick pointing upward. At the same time, place your left hand on your left
side chest with open palms and extended fingers with elbows at a right angle from the body.
