Topic No. 1 Ethical theories (Part 2)
This topic is a continuation of the different types of ethical theories to
assist the learners develop a more systemized and rational scheme of
thought through which they can reflect on the ethical decisions they
will be asked to make, either in their personal dealings or in their
chosen professional field. Knowledge of ethical theories can help the

learners sharpen their moral vision thereby setting aside personal biases
that often tend to skew one’s moral vision and look at an ethical
dilemma from a rational viewpoint. More precisely, ethical theories
can help the learners clearly and logically think about an ethical issue
and arrive at a decision that can be rationally defended.
After reading the topic, the learner shall be able to discuss the principle
Objectives underlying the ethical theories under “Kant’s Ethics, “Ross’s Ethics,”
“Rawl’s Theory of Justice,” and “Natural Law Ethics.”

questions pertaining to the topics discussed herein.
Provide an avenue for validating learning by conducting online classes,
if applicable, using any class app platform, subject to availability of
Teacher Intervention students’ internet connectivity, and for entertaining and clarifying
questions by available means possible including, but not limited to,
call/text messaging/e-mail/chat.
The learners shall answer a 50-item multiple choice questions (MCQ)
which covers the topics discussed prior to COVID-19 pandemic and all

other topics given thereafter. The learners are expected to obtain a
passing rate of at least seventy percent (70%) of the total item.
