after that Ma’am Maria Josifina Tacason started the seminar, She called Sir Calub and
discuss about the main purpose of research, after Sir Calub , Ma’am Melchora she ask the
students’ what is most important in our bag then I picked ballpen and notebook. Ma’am
Bolambao to start the seminar but before that, First of all the first day of seminar I
thought that seminar would be hard and I’m so nervous when I arrive the room but when
seminar started I feel ok because I thought it so hard. When Ma’am Blolambao started to
discuss about Qualitative Research Ma’am Balombao said that “ Research have a scientific
investigation of phenomena, collection, presentation, analysis and interpretation of facts,
and lines an individuals speculation with reality”.
Then she proceed to the next topic that what the difference’s of Sensory analysis and
Hedonic scale. First is the Sensory analysis, Sensory analysis integrates many different
science’s to understand better the sensory properties of products and consumers
response to this properties. Sensory analysis have 5 example of question “ what do you
want to know?, what resources are available?, who need to conduct the test?, what
product will you use?, what answer do you need?.
The next one is Hedonic Scale – Measuring the food acceptability and Hedonic scale
have 9 point Hedonic scale here are those points: 1-Dislike extremely, 2-Dislike very much,
3-Dislike Moderately, 4-Dislike Slightly, 5-Neither like nor Dis like, 6-like slightly, 7-like
Moderately, 8-Like Very much, 9-Like Extremely. Second is How to formulate the title of
qualitative research by Dr. Reynald Mamasig he said that decide of a phenomenon issue
you want to study do a literature review, choose a qualitative research mythology,
consider your sampling size, collect your data and analyze the data.
After the closing remarks first day of seminar I learn a lot of it because it sink in a
knowledge on me then after all the I know is what is Research , I would like to thanks the
teacher’s who teach us to understand another meaningful topic.
Second day of the seminar in a morning we made an activity and we show a group
cooperation, we help each other, and we made a unity. I remember in second day they
ask what is then common issue in a school then we choose poverty because poverty it
makes bad effect when it comes to school ( education ). We choose poverty because ,
poverty also is a interesting topic when we said a certain issue / a bad issue of a school
then after we talk about on how do explain and to discuss it clearly and how we clarify
that poverty is the one issue of a school community.
After that they ask a question on us that what is perceived effects pf poverty in
scholastic success of students in UCNHS ?. Then give a feedback which our answers. Here
are some lines that we spoke in seminar. “ Our topic is so important to discuss because it
affects the majority students”. And here is our answer, Poverty is experienced by
everyone and would it have any effect to the success of a students in school and we are
studying the perception on poverty.
Our topic is stated as “ Perceive effects of poverty in the school in the scholastic
success of students in UCNHD”. Here we would like to find out how do students perceive
the effect of poverty to their scholastic performance . Their performance in school and if
poverty is considered a handle to their success in life. Our topic is important , it affects
everyone and we have to know poverty is perceived by the affected ones. After all of that
we also listen to other section amd after that we’ve done the seminar and I feel so
refreshing because we’ve done and we cope out a knowledge and we also enjoy sharing
thoughts and ideas. That’s all I remember in the past seminar thank to those teacher who
guide us.
After I close this Narrative report I say that seminar would be a long our of sitting ,
listening, and understanding but in the end you will learn a lot of it and you keep all
knowledge you’ve learn and someday you would share it to others.
