Rnd 4:​ 1 sc, M1 [2 sc, M1] x 5, 1 sc (24)

​Whipped Cream on the top

With White Yarn

Work in the front loop with the cake base facing down, *​ [4 sc in the same st, skip 1 st, 1 sl st,
skip 1 st]* Repeat to the end of the rnd.
Cut the yarn and weave in the ends.

Eyes and mouth

Place the safety eyes between rnds 13 & 14 with 7 sts between them.
Embroider a V as the mouth between the eyes.

Cake Base

With Nude Color yarn

Make a magic ring

Rnd 3:​ [1 sc, M1] x 6 (18)
Rnd 4:​ 1 sc, M1 [2 sc, M1] x 5, 1 sc (24)

Cut the yarn, but leave a long tail for sewing to the base later.

Place the piece on a piece of cardboard, trace and cut out to fit. The cardboard will be placed
in the base of the cake to stabilize it.

Begin attaching the base to the cake, and when you are about halfway through, insert the
cardboard piece. Stuff with fiber fill and continue as the hole becomes smaller.

Cheeks (make 2)
With Pink Yarn

Begin with a magic ring

Rnd 1:
6 sc in the ring (6)
End with a sl st in the first sc. Cut the yarn and leave a long tail for sewing. Attach the cheeks
to the cake securely.

Strawberries (Make 7)

With Red Yarn


Make a magic ring
Rnd 1:​ 6 sc in the ring (6)
Rnd 2:​ 1 rnd of sc (6)
Rnd 3:​ [M1] x 6 (12)
Rnds 4-5:​ 2 rnds of sc (12)
Stuff with fiber fill
Rnd 6:​ ​work in the back loop​ [sc2tog] x 6 (6)
Add a little more fiber fill to the strawberry and sew the hole closed. Weave in the ends.

Strawberry Leaves (Make 7)


With Green yarn
Make a magic ring, but don’t pull it too tightly.
*ch 3, 1 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, 1 sc, 1 sl st in the ring* Repeat 5 times.
Leave about 8” (20 cm) long tail.
Sew the leaves to the top of the strawberries.

Attach the strawberries securely to the top of the cake and sew them to each other as well.
