Lagang and Darshan are in the library. They are reading about the types of transportation.
There are two main types of land transport. They are road and rail transport.
Examples of vehicles used on land bicycles, motorcycles, cars, buses and
trains. These vehicles help us get from one place to another quickly. They
are cheap and convenient ways to travelc
Besides travelling by land, we can also travel by water. Ships, boats, and submarines,
hovercrafts, kayaks and canoes are examples of water transport. Rafts were the first form of
water transport. They were made of animal skins and barks of trees. Nowadays, ships are made
of steel. Today, travelling by water is comfortable and safe.
Another form of transportation is air transport. Here are two main types of air transport one uses
fuel and the other does not. Examples of transport with fuel are aeroplanes, helicopters and jet
aircrafts. Air transport that does not use fuel is hang-gliders and gliders. They use the wind as a
source of energy.
