DIGITAL RADIO RELAY
For more than thirty years now, SAGEM’s expertise has been behind the implementation of digital
radio relay networks in over 80 countries around the world and under a wide variety of local climatic
and topological site conditions. SAGEM’s full range of possibilities covers all the frequency bands from
7 GHz to 38 GHz and bit rates up to 16 x 2 Mbit/s, in a variety of network configurations :

Repeater system
This equipment configuration provides three
alternative protection switching schemes: A repeater consists of two terminals connected
! hotstandby, back to back. This enables direct local insertion
! frequency diversity, and extraction of 2 Mbit/s data streams.
! space diversity.
It includes:
! one Indoor Unit Multiplexer UFX-x,
! two Cable Interface Modules UFC-x,
! two Outdoor Units,
! one or two antennas,
! two cables,
! A kit of accessories described in chapter 8.

INSTALLATION
In 1+0 configuration, or in 1+1 with 2 anten-
nas per terminal (MHSB, Frequency or space
diversity) : The Outdoor Unit is directly attached
to the antenna without screws. In the case of a
tubular pole, available pole diameters range
from 50 to 115 mm.
4.1 Changing the ODU does not necessitate re-
alignment of the antenna.
Indoor Unit installation When the ODU is to be remoted from the an-
tenna, a special adapter kit is used.
