G. Finding Practical applications SITUATION:

of Concepts and skills in daily Once upon a time in a peaceful village, there were two brothers who really
living doted each other – Aile and Francis. Their father and mother died because of a
car accident as they went to the city to visit their relatives. Though they were
orphans, their parents left them hectares of land – they were financially stable.
Despite of being financially stable, they still felt that sadness sometimes
because they are longing for their parents. However, they are on each other’s
side to comfort each other. They really love each other. They help each other
when one of them has problem. No one can break/ separate the love that they
have for each other.
One day, the two were wandering around their land territories. They talked
many things about the heirs left by their parents.
Aile said, “I want to build my own Super Mall here. I want to be the next
Henry Sy.”
Upon hearing that, Francis has been offended by the words of Aile. For him,
it seems that his brother become selfish of building his own Super Mall only.
Francis replied, “Why will you build your own Super Mall only? This is our
land! It should be our Super Mall!
“What are you saying my dear brother? It is my idea of building my Super
Mall. You have to think of your own. We have a very wide land. Build your
own and I will build my own”, Aile replied sarcastically.
“That’s ridiculous my brother! We are supposed to be with each other’s side.
What are saying right now?” said Francis.
“No, my brother. We should not be living like this forever. Aren’t you tired
of it? I want to have my own family. A family to be called as my own.”
Francis was disappointed on the decision of his brother. He decided not to
talk to him ever. And so with Aile, the closeness, the strong knit and tie binding
their strong brotherhood loses. Consequently, the disappointment turned into
envy and wrath.
One day, Francis decided to make a small river that would separate them.
He asked Edwin, a famous labourer and a carpenter, to make one.
And so, the river was made that separates the two brothers.
However, upon seeing this by Aile, it makes him angrier. So, he asked the
same man to build a wall beside the river that would separate them forever. The
man worked as what Aile told him to do so.
While the building of the wall is on progress, both Francis and Aile went out
of the town for their own business trip.
As they return, they were shocked upon seeing what Edwin has built. On
their surprise, the man built a bridge on the river connecting their lands instead
of a wall.
Aile asked Edwin, why did you build a bridge wherein I instructed you to
build a wall?
Edwin smiled at him and said, “In this world that is filled with trickery and
people have been blinded by self-interest, we must not need to be a victim of it.
It is my job to build peace and unity. That is why I existed in this world. I am a
builder, not a destroyer. I live to build, not to destroy. We must all be an
instrument of peace. So we have to build bridges instead of wall.”
The fiery hearts of the two brothers were melted by the words of Edwin.
They realized the true value of being a person specially of being brothers. So,
the two brothers reconciled and they live happily ever after.
